我觉得比较好的词
While artist is the one who creates art
out of their unique emotions, the critic induces from (感觉这个短语有点怪 不太明白)the art works some values that cater to the need of contemporary society. With the changes of the society, the values given by critics inevitably vary. However, the art never change, neither do the values and thoughts infused by the artist. So it is with no doubt that the artist instead of the critic gives the society lasting value.
A piece of art is always produced by perspirations and inspirations of the artist, filled with strong personal feelings, manifesting the inner emotions of the artist and reflecting the outer surrounding of the society, to embody some certain values considered momentous. Yet so often, the art works are too foregoing to be understood and the values contained(这样用感觉换了主语,too……to就连不上了,最好把the values contained 去掉) to be accepted by contemporaries. Beethoven’s symphonies were considered ear-hurting by audience of his time, who were accustomed by (to)predictable harmonies and melodic length of Haydn. While today, these symphonies are believed as among the greatest notes. The art lasts, even when its artist are no longer alive, so does the value given, and that’s what makes the artist immortal. Shakespeare, known as the immortal bard, never died spiritually because of his living hamlet in everybody’s mind.(例子用的很恰当 论述的也很好)
Also, the consequential jobs done by the critic has to be appreciated. While the artists are always idealistic through and through, the critic do their utmost to catch up with the artist’s mind and interpret some of the values contained in the art works. The critics are often the authorities of the society, and satisfy the society with some suitable values induced from art works. The art works are like codes to great treasure of great minds and the critics are those to decode to find the storehouse. Through this, the critic really plays an important role in transforming and transmitting great values.
However, critics are too selective and have to take into account too many factors. That’s why while some of the art were accepted as great pieces of that society, others were rejected, for they did not meet, or even were contrary to, the need. Indeed, some values contained in art works are not to maintain the contemporary society but to replace it with a better one. Then the critics are uncountable to recognize and transmit these values, rather, they will probably resist and oppress them. So the values given by critics are limited and parochial.
And they never last. They changed with time. Only the art as well as the values given by the artist at the time of completion lasts. As an example, let’s see a special art form—performing art. Some ancient religious rituals were performed to show their unique belief and express their inner emotions while now they are preserved as intangible cultural heritages by indigenous citizens to identify themselves and studied as a invaluable source for foreigners to uncover the mysterious history of this group of people to help them understand the emotions and thoughts of this ethnic group. Performed or preserved, or studied, the values of the art to different societies or the same society at different time may be distinct, but its lasting value, given by the artists—its composers and performers, as a symbol of cultural identity as a unique group, never changes.
To sum it, while critics interpret temporary values, which change with time, from art works, to meet the demand of their contemporary societies, great artists create masterpieces out of nothing but their inner emotions and foregoing thoughts which are sustainable enough to give lasting values to all societies of all time, as long as they are accepted and cherished.
我觉得你写的观点很明确 论证的也很充分 但是句子感觉有的地方不是很流畅 还有就是要注意一些小的语法问题。水平有限 就提这么多了!加油! |
