第一次写，很吃力，交得有点迟因为刚看到这个小组。

Who do not want to be awarded? None. But when it comes to who should be awarded or which should be more important to be awarded, effort or achievement, some people may hold the view that we can encourage students to be hard working by awarding students for effort. while others think that no one can deny that the students who have gained good grades should be awarded. In my opinion, however, achievement should be attached more significance and be awarded at the first place.

Such is human nature that gaining high grades and being better than other students should be every student's dream. Why? Because they can obtain teachers' praise, parents' gifts, and other students' respects after this achievement. So, this is not surprising that awards for students' achievements can serve as the huge motivation of study. On one hand, the students who have obtained the award will still work hard to keep gaining more awards. On the other hand, the students who have not got the award maybe will take the award as their goal and become more hard-working to pursue it, which can create a very great study atmosphere in the classrooms. That is what we want to see. the meaning of the award is to stimulate students to study and learn more knowledge.

Of course, some may argue that it is critical to award students for effort since that can make students to work hard and keep trying. Indeed, it encourage students to regain the confidence to move on and take the next chance to achieve more, but we cannot put it at the first place for that maybe make them believe that efforts are equal with success and they always can obtain the second chance. It should be admitted that we should do our best with all efforts when we are confronting with difficulties. However, learning skills and experiences from people who have a lot of achievements, which can help us avoid unnecessary mistakes and easy to be success, is more crucial.

In conclusion, awarding students for achievement is of more significance because it can set a great example for students to follow, and also can tell them we cannot gain success only with efforts.
