In therecent years, there is a general controversy over the issue that whether it isimportant to have the rules about the type of clothing that people are allowedto work and school. Although some people claim that everyone has the right tochoose freely the dressing style, personally I prefer to support the opinionthat rules for clothing are necessary and I will provide concrete evidences todemonstrate my point of view.

First andforemost, in the filed of art and sports, special clothes is the prerequisitefor success. It is well known that the apparels on the stage are quitedifferent from what we wear during the everyday life, since it is theparticular requirement of art performance. For instance, when a musician isplaying a traditional instrument such as the flute, if he could wear a costumewith certain traditional characteristics additionally, it is more likely forthe audiences to better understand his music. As to the sport competition, a perfectcloth can help the athletes to do a better job. For example, with the help of ahigh tech swimming clothes made from the skin of shark, the resistance of watercan be largely reduced, which ultimately benefit to the swimmer. Accordingly,it is obvious that clothing plays a significant role in the areas of art andsport.

In thesecond place, sometimes the choice of clothing is determined by the careeritself. A good case in point is absolutely the dressing in hospital. It is universallyacknowledged that hospital is such a special workplace where there are a lot ofbacteria. Therefore it has the most characterized clothing called the whitesuit, which is asked to use only in the hospital. If doctors or nurses justwear the ordinary clothes in hospital, the inter-contagious between patients inhospital and other healthy people will easily be produced.

Last butnot least, school uniform could assist the students to better study at school.On the one hand, through wearing the uniform, students are taught to conform tothe disciplines of school and they are prone to see themselves as one member ofthis team. On the other hand, it also makes them pay less attention on theiroutside appearances, eventually concentrate more on their school work instead.

To sumup, taking into account of the discussion mentioned above, we may safely reachthe conclusion that it is wise and reasonable to make rules on the types ofclothing during work or school.
