Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
People with different backgrounds and characters always have varied answers when asked about where to live. I have to admit that either of the two choices has its benefits, but I prefer to live in big city.

To begin with, it is more exciting and competitive to live in big cities. As a young person, I need an adequate and broad space to develop my personalities and realize my dream, which only can be provided in big city. What’s more, the competitive atmosphere leads me to work harder and make advance in my career sooner. Although living and working in big cities is more tired, I believe the achievement I get in future will complements my efforts. As the proverb says, “The more ploughing and weeding, the better the crop will be.”

Secondly, living in big cities is more convenient for resident in many aspects such as buying stuff and having amusement. For example, new commodities always appear in big cities firstly and then show up in small towns. In most cases, you can find various kinds of commodities in big cities, while several types of basic goods in countryside. In weekends, if you don’t want to stay home, you have many entertainments to choose like singing karaoke, seeing movies, having a feast in advanced restaurant or playing tennis in the gym. All of these are hard to enjoy in countryside.

Finally, the relatively higher salary is another reason for us to live in big cities. There are so many corporations and big firms in urban which can bring tremendous working opportunities and advantages for us to bargain with our companies since we will never be worried about unemployment. As a result, if a company wants to attract and retain experienced and professional workers, they have to offer higher salary and huge welfares.

In conclusion, living in big cities improves our life by providing us broader space in our career development, more convenient living conditions and relatively higher salary. After listing these three benefits, I am convinced that living in big cities is a more reasonable choice.
