159The human mind will always be superior to machines because machines are only tools of human of minds.
Key words: Machine
human mind
总论点: agree with the author
1human utilize their intelligence to invent machines which improve working efficiency and free human from repeated and heavy labor.
As we know, human beings have had invented many machines during the evolution. Developed as the human society as it is, machines turn to become more intelligent and undependable. However, in my view, human being controls machines from its commencement, meanwhile will definitely till to the future is undeniable.
In some degree, I concede that machines are endowed with ability beyond our imagination nowadays. When coming to immeasurably repeated work, they incline to be superior to human mind. For example, the computer handling well on the aspect of calculation indeed brings about great convenience to human race. As for its advantage of unique speed of calculation, the computer always beats human mind in some games, such as cards, chess and so on. In addition, machines are better at memory compared to human beings. Things recorded in machines’ storage location can exist permanent as long as human beings do not eliminate.
But we should not overlook the fact that it is the human mind that makes it possible. In retrospect of history, we would find the reason why machines were made, which illustrate the development of relationship between human beings and machines. Machines are intended to meet the need of convenience and high-speed pace of lives. To the essence, human beings determine the function of machines, as well as the restriction. After all, designer knows what machines could do according to their initial goal. People cannot invent something they really even do not know well. As a consequence, human beings are the driving force of the development of machines.
What’s more, machines have no idea about the sense of feeling at least in the foreseeable future. Would machines be like that scientific fiction or films in which they were born with the extraordinary ability of human emotion? In my opinion, such ability should merely be simulating of human beings rather than creating and expressing for machines themselves. On the contrary, human beings are so intelligent that they understand the lying context under the words. For example, people would not express their denying opinion on friends’ new clothes concerning about the friends’ pleasure. Therefore, human mind will be superior to machines.
To sum up, machines are the tools for human mind by which live conveniently. No matter whatever machines enable to do, they are created by people, well known by people, and confined by people. The worry of machines posing a great threat as for overdeveloped would be uncalled-for.
