History happens all the time, everywhere, but we cannot realize thesignificance of these historical moments until we read about them later in thehistory book. This is history, which is a field of subject that uses anarrative to examine and analyze the sequence of events. On the other words, history is made up of a series of continuous events, thus, determining thepresent nowadays. Roughly speaking, the study of history always focuses on theevents instead of individuals and history happens spontaneously, however, withthe result constrained by either famous individual or famous groups of people.

To begin with, the study of history always stems from the events asmentioned previously. The claim that too much emphasized on the individuals inthe study of history is discernible and reasonable.
To illustrate, we may recall how the historianswork over the research. At first, they may be interested in the specific periodof history and would like to know what exactly happened during this period.Later on, they may encounter the puzzle why the event happened on such a trend. Therefore, individuals become a main target of scholars and two much emphasispaid appears plausible.

In addition, in most cases, either important individual or famous groupsof people may dominate the trend of history. As for some significant events inthe history, who’s the leading character? Definitely it’s people. It is not extremelyconvincing that the forgotten identities may cause such significance. First ofall, what does so called “famous people” imply? Generally speaking, he mustleave several unforgettable and influential recollections to the world. However, such significance may always be recorded in the history, which statesthat the significant events are invariably related with famous people. Forexample, it is Henry Fold that applied the modern assembly lines to the massproduction, tremendously increasing the rate of production and reducing thevariation, which boosted the development of the automotive industry. It is agroup of people whose representative is Christopher Columbus that went acrossthe Atlantic Ocean and cause the general European awareness of the Americancontinents in the western hemisphere. Hence, these significant events in thehistory brought the characters to be well-known, namely, famous people madethose significant events in the history.

Provided that the study of history is creditable, most of the leadingcharacters are well-known. However, there were still some identities that havebeen forgotten or ignored by now. As for the evolution, most of us would referto the perspective of Charles Darwin. Actually there was another naturalist hinderedbehind Darwin and almost forgotten by us, he was Alfred Russel Wallance. Bycollecting specimens, he realized that species were the fundamental units ofevolution, which was startlingly similar to a theory being put by Darwin. Bywriting to Darwin about his theory of evolution, Wallace may have changed hisscientific thinking. However, his discovery has been largely forgotten and manywrongly assume that the idea is first published by Darwin. Perhaps, Wallace wassuch person who led the evolutionary idea but has been forgotten for us.

In summary, since individuals were the main character in the performanceof history, too much emphasis was paid is reasonable for the study of history. What’s more, there was only a few portions of significant evens were made bysome oblivious people, however, more importantly, most of them belongs to thefamous people or groups. Thus, with modern high technology in hand, study ofhistory should be executed more preciously to clearly indicate and expose whoseforgotten people.
