Technology, an indispensable role in the society, has becoming changing our life gradually. From the behavior of common people to the attitude to the trend of the public, there is more customs and ethics influenced by the advancement of the new power called technology.

Admittedly, the increased technology has the responsibility of the development of living and comfort level of both developed nations and developing nations. The breakthroughs in bioengineering science are helping to unravel the mysteries of our lives, holding out new lifesaving cures of some of our dreaded diseases. Moreover, the high magnetic levitation train could transport people safely at speeds of up three hundred miles, saving lots of time than ever before. Even there has been space tourists travelling the outer space in the Space Station and safely returned to earth. More importantly, people could make important conversations with person who have never chance to meet at all without the advanced technology.

However, even though that technology indeed makes great contributions to the improvement of the humanity and society, we cannot deny it is also the technology that guides the social customs and ethics to the wrong way. One primary byproduct in the process of technological increasing is pollution. With the development of industry, industry began to expand to the large scale in order to enjoy the developed skills which could bring more benefits. And this has resulted in the serious environment and ecological problems: noise exists, forests and pasture disappear, and some species of animals become extinct. All the above situations have resulted from the fresh technology, which has a detrimental influence on human beings.

What's more, this double-edged sword may easily bring disaster if improperly used-whether conscious or not. Suppose the terrorists acquire the ability to produce nuclear weapon, bring dangers even greater than ever before. If cloning technology is focusing on humankind, ignoring the legal and ethics, it would throw chaos to our ordered world.

So, there is no denying that technologies not only influence and actually determine social customs and ethics. But on the one hand, it contributes to our reality, on the other hand, we should pay more attention to the negative effect from the technologies. More awareness of prevent environment from the damaging situation should be inculcated to the average person through the television and computers. Additionally, suitable utilization of technology based on the ethics would be worth doing and adapting.
