And the best way to make it more suitable is to get touch with the outside world relevant to their courses. Take mechanics as an example, the student whose major is this can only contribute the society if he or she can apply knowledge or skills to improve the function of machines. Thereby, the teacher needs to know the current trend so that help next generations be satisfied by the potential employers in the future.
Chemistry teachers are the same, they should learn how to produce chemical products and then teach the students how to use the theories. From these two examples, we can realize the how important that the teachers work outside the academic world. This action can obviously improve the quality of instruction at the university.

However, some professors who study about the abstract subjects, they would better not work outside. They can benefit nothing in the teaching from the society. For instance, those who teach theoretical math can not improve their teaching from the practice because few people use them in the daily life and the producing progress. The best way to teach is to convey how to think about the problems in a particular way. Ancient literature is the same. People in modern world have already given up the original way of saying and writing. Thus, to these teachers in college they should better stay in the academic world for further study. This can help student know more about the ancient literature.

Besides the teachers spending time working outside the academic world, there are other ways improving the university level and instruction quality. In most students’ perspective, another key factor in judging a university is the condition of the experiment facilities. And in the world, to judge a college, the number of its paper is also taken into account which is an exact way reflects the level of a university. So, to improve the university level, these factors also need be considered.
