TOPIC: ISSUE103 - "The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives."
WORDS: 477

Does the study of history only can be used in the field of daily lives? Obviously, the speaker unfairly limits the broad function of history learning.
It is easy to find the benefits got from history by which we embrace deep understanding of today's life and correct our attitudes towards today's existence. Without going far, in every family, a child could never treasure any richment, provided by parents such as fashion clothes, delicious food and the opportunity to be educated, unless he or she knows hardships in the process of the family's survival. In a not dissimilar way, youngsters hardly possess the spirit of patriotism towards their homeland since they know little about the history of their country. At the even worse, there younger without the relishment of precedents' work could never take the responsibility to take care for and serve the people and society.
If we cast a look back at the history of evolution of human's society, it is likely to identify that knowledge of history plays an important role in the decision of politicians like Lincoln, Washington and Gandhi. These leaders all
consider the history events happened years ago ad the mirror which can reflect modern trends and remind us not to repeat tradigy before, The aptly example to illustrate this view is the lesson of the invention of
atom bomb during the World War Two. Lacking of consideration of the misuse of weapon, scientists felt guilty to recall the memory of the research of the atom energy, which was used to slaughter human instead in the war. This experience of heartbreak waked up scientists nowadays to take seriously thought of the possible results before publishing their progress in science.

There is good sense in grasping history well to predict and direct the trends in future. When people face with difficulties, especially in politics, appealing to the history book is a wise choice. Our precedents living in ancient era may have confronted with the same problems. The way they dispose the trouble could provide us more materials to make judgment and even point out a new way forward.
Of course, the speaker's assertion that history is wealthy in daily lives had merit too. The history book can directly tell us the proverbs in communication skills. political strategies, as well as the long proceeding of agriculture, architecture and literature. Every tiny step in the progress of science relies on the comprehensive understanding of history. Precedence’s wisdom is the ground and ladder of today's innovation which related closely to our daily life.
In general, I will not agree with the speaker's assertion unless he or she extends the notes to a wider range. Besides the immediate use in daily life, history benefits human beings great in inculcating the treasuries and grateful attitudes towards the country and world, as well as predicting the possible situations waiting for human forwards.

Does the study of history only can be used in the field of daily lives? Obviously, the speaker unfairly limits the broad function of history learning.(开头可以再丰富些,比如说下历史研究的一般作用等)
It is easy to find the benefits got from history by which we embrace deep understanding of today's life and correct our attitudes towards today's existence. Without going far, in every family, a child could never treasure any richment(??), provided by parents such as fashion clothes, delicious food and the opportunity to be educated, unless he or she knows hardships in the process of the family's survival. In a not dissimilar way, youngsters hardly possess(我觉得这里用get等词比较好,possess的意思似乎不太合适,你可以再查下韦氏) the spirit of patriotism towards their homeland since they know little about the history of their country. At the even worse, there younger without the relishment of precedents' work could never take the responsibility to take care for(take care for 可以去掉) and serve the people and society.(主要谈了历史研究对人精神层次的影响)
If we cast a look back at(on) the history of evolution of human's society, it is likely to identify that knowledge of history plays an important role in the decision of politicians like Lincoln, Washington and Gandhi. These leaders all consider the history events happened years ago as the(a) mirror which can reflect modern trends and remind us not to repeat tradigy(tragedy) before(again). The(an) aptly example to illustrate this view is the lesson of the invention of atom bomb during the World War Two. Lacking of consideration of the misuse of weapon, scientists felt guilty to recall the memory of the research of the atom energy, which was used to slaughter human instead in the war. This experience of heartbreak waked up scientists nowadays to take seriously thought of the possible results before publishing their progress in science.(历史对政治决策的作用)

Our precedents living in ancient era may have confronted with the same problems. The way they dispose the trouble could provide us more materials to make judgment and even point out a new way forward.
Of course,(在正式书面表达中,这个词组比较少用到。建议改为certainly) the speaker's assertion that history is wealthy in daily lives had merit too. The history book can directly tell us the proverbs in communication skills, political strategies(这点已经在上文中叙述过了,再把它放在日常生活部分,似乎不妥。), as well as the long proceeding of agriculture, architecture and literature.

总体:
我觉得这篇题目中的一个关键是理解“DAILY LIFE”。韦氏上对DAILY的解释第一条就是: occurring, made, or acted upon every day  *daily needs*。
