As we all know, the world itself is facing an immediate process of globalization which not only benefits us a lot in many aspects but also brings some persistent social problems which are asking for a global sight to analyze and solve. In this way, I think it will serve many countries' benefits if they assist support a development of a global university designed to cultivate potential students who is ready to solve those problems.

The ever increasing number of global problems calls for the involvement of more nations to cooperate with each other--probably in the way of starting a global university. Nowadays the effect of globalization has been found in different areas of social lives, such as economics, cultural, political, religious, and social systems. Sometimes the problems coming with it are too complicated to be solved by one country. To support it one don't need take further look but the ever worse weather condition happening around us. The summer becomes hotter and hotter, coming with floods ruining thousands of people's homes and farms as well. And behind these lies the endless carbon dioxide emission in some areas and finally leads to the depletion of the atmosphere ozone. This problem definitely needs cooperation from all the nations, ranging from the developed countries such as America to the developing countries like China and India. Also in economics area, the best example may be the financial crash of October 1987 and the Asia Economic Crisis in 1998 which shows the world's capital markets are more closely integrated the
An ever before and that events in one part of the global village may be transmitted to the rest of the village-almost instantaneously.  Therefore, the economic security in this age also needs a global cooperation to build a safer environment. In sum, in this modern world, no one or nation is alone. We are all connected and have to face the problems together.

Indeed, building a global university could enhance the communication and cooperation among young people throughout the world and then drive the development of our society. In terms of the scientific research, due to its complexity and huge workload, seldom scientists could accomplish their work completely by themselves but to cooperate with scientists in and out of their own countries. The human genome project, for example, benefits from widespread international cooperation and advances in the field of genomics (especially in sequence analysis) and provides new avenues for advances in medicine and biotechnology, also helps understanding human biology. By creating an international platform for students from different nations, cultural backgrounds and different education systems together can therefore create diversified perspectives, methods when dealing with a social problem then comes up with more creative ideas.

Notwithstanding the foregoing benefits a global university would bring us, there are still many problems have to settle in building such a university. First, the social customs of people in different countries will differ, which makes them difficulty to study together. Due to religious believes, Arabia women are required to wear cloth and black gauze if there are men present. But this custom may be unacceptable for the western female, and it even deprives some human rights from their perspective. Secondly, although there are many persistent problems that many countries have in common, still resulting from different developing history and living standards, it is the natural problem that each country can have different emphasis concerning about their own interests. In this way, they would have to overcome a myriad of administrational and political impediments to decide which area of research deserves most emphasis. These problems all make it hard to establish a global university.

In conclusion, an establishment of global university will connect the different ideas from all around the world much more tightly and could strike a flurry of sparks of thoughts which helps creating new ideas in solving the most persistent social problems nowadays. But there still remain some problems to deal with it.
