In the reading material, the author states that a group of people work more efficiently and effectively than a single person. In the listening section, however, the lecture says that team strategy have three defections as follows.

First, some people get a free-ride in the six months process, which means that they did not contribute to the project at all. Moreover, recognitions for the job are less than the reading material stated. The real contributors feel dissatisfied.

Second, the reading section says that a group can come up with highly creative solutions and work more quickly. In contrast, it takes a long time to reach consensus about how to deal with some problems. Once some influential people make bad comments of an idea, it would be dropped even though it is a good one. On the other hand, if influential people convince an idea is good even though other people warned that it may constitute detrimental elements to the whole project, the warn is ignored.

Finally, if the project is failed, the blame will be placed on all the members of the group, which is contrary to the reading material that taking part in a group process can be rewarding for members of the team.

In conclusion, the lecturer in the listening part clearly indentified the weakness in the reading passage that group process is rewarding and contributed to the whole team.
