In my opinion, it is one of the responsibilities of the education system to encourage students to question and criticize, and which will help promote the social harmony. Of course, the question and criticize is in the proper range.

In today's technologically advanced society, the education develops better than before, especially in the developing country. Tutors teach and encourage students to know and analyze the world in their spectrums instead of just cramming the knowledge. The students absorb knowledge and ponder questions objectively instead of just remembering something in order to pass the examinations.  Such person is the right one who will contribute to the development of country greatly. Because he or she has the ability to speculate and deal with the reality problem. He or she will not admire authority too much and believe the authority is all right in any time, in any case. That is to say; they will watch the world in the questionable and critical eyes, which will accelerate the development of the civilization. Only under the close examination and scrutiny, can the flaws or limitation be found, then be adjusted, including the society. So, to some extent, the question and criticize promote the development of society.

The editorial claims that does little to promote social harmony. In the first place, how to define the "social harmony"? If there is not any question or criticize about the society, is that represent the social harmony? The answer is no. No critic does no means the society is too perfect to question, the most possibility is people not dare to express the critic, take the autocracy period as the example, in that time, the kings was always right whatever he said, if anyone questioned or criticized must be punished, even killed. Another possibility is people have not the ability or knowledge to find the question, such instance is countless in science realm, otherwise is rare in social field, because everyone is one part of the society and everyone can find the question of society. Based on what discussed above, it is clearly that there is no any causal relationship between the critic and hamper social harmony.

Adversely, to some extent, the critic will help promote social harmony. A famous philosopher said that the person would criticize what he favors. Common sense tells us that people always pay more attention to and critic what he or she really cares. Just because people care about it, they are discontented the flaws of it and hope it become better and better, same to the social. The important step of getting progress is finding the shortcoming. Only when finding the flaws and defects, can we adjust and rectify it. The question and criticize will benefit the development of society.

Moreover, what the education offer to students is not only the question and criticize, but also other ability, such as how to communicate and cooperate with each other, how to deal with the problem in the harmony atmosphere. All these abilities will do a great favor to the social harmony.

To sum up, the education encourages students not only to question and criticize, but also to communicate and cooperate, and will does much to promote social harmony.
