------正文------
Nowadays, the issue of the preservation of the wilderness areas has come into focus. Government, with its irreplaceable role and responsibility entailed, should put forward campaign with the aim of preserving publicly owned wilderness in their natural state. However, the government alone is not enough and efforts from the whole society are required.

There is no doubt that more and more people are getting aware of the importance of wilderness areas. With the popularity of sustained environmental exploitation, more attention is shifted towards environmental protection methods, such as planting more trees, controlling automobile exhausts and recycling. Among them, protecting natural wilderness areas is a effective way. For it not only helps to purify the air and consolidate the soil, but also provides natural habitat for the wild lives. However, as these areas are usually publicly owned, only with help of the government can they truly be protected. For one thing, the government has the authority to put forth rules and regulations and ensure that they are implemented. For another, the government can provide the financial support necessary for the preservation programs.

However, the fact that wilderness areas are often extremely remote does not necessary mean that the government is faced with a relatively easy task. Some might argue that as these areas are far away from down town areas, they are accessible to only a few people, which in turn results to less contamination. Unfortunately, it is not always the case. Though remoteness might discourage some people, others might be greatly attracted to the natural taste of wilderness. It is because people do not usually experience and feel the exotic feeling of the wilderness that they are so enchanted by the mere mention of 'going to the wild'. Besides, these wilderness areas' being far away also makes it hard for the government to manage and supervise.

Therefore, though the efforts of the government are important in the preserving the wilderness areas, more parties should get involved in this battle and back up the government. Firstly, the traveling agencies should shoulder the social responsibility, even though usually at the stake of their profits and margins. They should reduce and eliminate, if possible, their routes to the wilderness areas, sometimes call eco-tourism, so as not to expose these wild areas to tourists.  In addition, big corporations should also devote themselves to the protection of wilderness areas. They should take up their responsibility for the society and assist the preservation either through technical financial support. Lastly, citizens should also abide by the rules and regulations by the government.

To conclude, though government plays an important rule in keeping the wilderness areas in their natural state, more support is need from all spectrum of the society to facilitate the implementation of the protection programs.
