Government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state, even though these areas are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people.

感觉内容不是十分丰富，就是一些话翻来覆去的说。。。

These days while protection of natural environment keeps attracting more and more concern , there is a rising controversy about whether our government should make endeavor to preserve wilderness areas, which are even though too remote to be accessible for human being. My contention about this issue is that we cannot neglect the effects of protection of remote wilderness for they are beneficial for our human's living even surviving.

One the one hand, wilderness areas, especially remote ones, which is with little change and impact cast by man, is almost abundant in all kinds of resources for human's living. Some people may argue that since these areas seems to be uncivilized and have little concrete wealth in them, either material or spiritual, why should we keep an eye to even treasure so much as to preserve them at the expense of large amount of money and efforts? I concede that they may do not have an appealing appearance as cities or megalopolises, thus I will say that this point of view is represents a sense of short-sighted and lack of knowledge. The truth, as I know, is that these areas, for the sake of not touched by humans, have much vital resources, some of them may have great efforts in solving man's problems confronting today, for instance curing severe diseases by providing thousands of sorts of rude materials for medicine. Moreover, for the aspect of biology, especially in human's grand project of genial plan, wilderness areas are live libraries for scientists to refer to, either individual one or the global wilderness as a whole, which contains a full information about some essential questions such like where human come from ,and how did the progress happen. All these effort can be omitted by the sagacious man and its government.

One the other hand, wilderness areas has great effects in ameliorating the global environment, which will also, benefits the humans. You may also argue that since they are so far, do they have something to do with our living? The answer is, so far as I see, wilderness areas, which usually occurs in form of large area of promotive forest, animals, and sorts of plants, have a significant impact on adjusting the climate of the earth-our human and society's home- as well as purifying the gloabal atmosphere, by means of plants' generating fresh air, absorbing toxicants and keep the humidity of air. They cast an important impact on people on earth as they serve as the clean-worker of the "earth-country". For this sake, we cannot be so quick to conclude that the wilderness, including the remote has nothing to with man's living environment.

Last but not the least, it is urgent for the government to carry out policies and make practical endeavor to protect the wilderness at the right time. The situation is that if without the government's protection, even the remotest wilderness area will finally disappear. According to what is mentioned above, the situation is that, when these wilderness areas are serving for our human to develop our civilization, in turn, man's industrialization and living is destroying these areas, for bboth individual and collective reason. The former lies in persons' exploitation of the wild for a living, such as cutting woods, killing birds, and hence on, while the latter is that industry is polluting the environment too seriously for the wilderness to adjust resulting in that the bad environment ruins the forests, rivers, and their livings in turn. The wilderness can any more bide this great burden.

To sum up, since the wilderness is so rich in kinds of resources and close-related to human's living, government should spare no effort to preserve them from extinction.
