Skepticism can lead people to consider something thoroughly. In my opinion, I agree that with many people questioning the authority, the society will be enhanced.

First of all, by questioning the authority, people may concentrate more on the social issues, which may make contributions to the society. The authority stands for the latest and most advanced development of an area. Through the process of questioning the authority, people may devote themselves fully into some particular fields, which can cause some new discoveries in these fields, so as to promote a better society. For example, in the realm of academics, the authority are usually constrained by doctrinaires that have been deposited in the academic world for a long time. Nevertheless, with the questions of others, it may help the authority to find out some new discoveries. Also in the realm of politics, the authority may deal with the problems with their experience that have been accumulated through their work. However, by doing so, they may not solve the new issues with their previous experience. In this case, the others' skepticism may prevent the authority from making mistakes or even corruption. Thus, the questions of others can serve as catalyst for the authority to help them get rid of mistakes and errors so as to bring a better society.

Furthermore, it is beneficial for students, who can make the society even more enhanced in the future, to question the authority. Anyone wants to question the authority should understand the issues thoroughly. It is not acceptable to bring skeptical ideas without any comprehension on the issues. Consequently, when a student question the authority, he may fully consider the problem himself and try to find out any mistakes by a lot of means such as searching on the internet or look up in the library. By doing so, it may only help the student to cultivate the ability to solve problems himself but also gain the ability of critical thinking, which will benefit him and the society for the whole life. Moreover, with the ability of critical thinking, when a student judge a problem, he may try to find the source of the problem and consider other alternatives. In other words, he may not come to extremes. Consequently, he will have an open-minded and broad of views, which may lead him to get rid of lies, dishonest and discrimination. Therefore, with the skepticism to authority, students can attain such values that help them bring a better society in the future.

Admittedly, without proper skepticism, people will bring problems to the authority. The reasons of questioning the authority should be sufficient and warranted. It is not convictive that people question the authority without any sound reasons and thorough comprehension. For instance, if too many people question the authority without any solid evidence, it will influence the daily work of authority, which means the authority will has to solve these skepticism when they are working. Also too much skepticism will make the others distrust of the authority. In this case, the authority may lose his reputation and cannot be engaged in his work any more, which will constrain the development of the society. Hence, any question towards the authority should be fully considered first and with solid evidence.

To sum up, with many people questioning the authority, the society will be enhanced. Especially, the students gain the ability of skepticism may even bring a better society in the future. Nevertheless, the questions towards the authority should have sound reasons, otherwise the results may be opposite.
