I strongly agree with the speaker that the absence of choice is a circumstance which is very rare. In everyday life we are facing the situation of adopting a choice; it is nearly hard to imagine circumstance without choice. Some people claim they do not have choice to make, while I think they make some primary assumption or setting in advance.

To begin with, people are now living in a society with abundant material wealth and high technology. The advanced tech and prosperous economy provide enormous choice in our daily life when we are consuming, adopting a transportation tool. With the help of a computer, people can choose to write an email instead of using postal service; looking up information on the internet rather than go to library. When people go to super-market, there are various food and vegetables to choose. Meanwhile, people also have to choose in other aspects. The citizens have to vote for different candidates in the election. Students decide whether to go to a university or get a job. So every period or even every day in our life, we must to choose for something, in order to make our life better.

On the contrary, considering the situation of no choice, what will happen? Life with no rights to choose means that every single step you took and will take is set in advance. We are led forwards by what we commonly referred as 'fate' or 'destiny'. This is a point of view we called 'determinism'. And this point is against the democracy and the rule of human equity and making people depressed. Enormous example shows us we can decide what kind of life to live ourselves.

However, complains about 'I have no choice but  ...' is often heard. Does he or she really have no choice to make? I do not think so. People who assert that they have no choice to make actually have made a choice. It is like in a maze, when a person is at the crossing point, he does have choice to decide which direction to go. However, he clearly knows that only one of the directions can lead to the door of maze. So if the prerequisite that going out of the maze is set, it is not wrong to say that only one choice left. But it is not really the actual case. Similarly, a commercial company often makes several strategies and maybe only one of them is the optimum. Furthermore, there is still another possibility. People sometimes ignore the underlying choice. It is just like a person on the cliff who do not realize that is a rope under his feet leading down. There is always situation in which our sight is not far enough to foresee everything. As a result we think we are in the dead-corner and have no choice to make. I n conclusion, there are always plenty of choice. People who say they do not have a choice actually make a rule for themselves or neglect the other choices.

Whereas, though we can adopt so many choices in our life, only making proper choice can help us to a better life. Not all the choice is benefit for us, it is important to consider seriously before the final step is taken.

To sum up, the world we live makes us to choose on different issues. And very rarely can the situation of no choice happen. The people complain that they have no choice to make actually ignore some choice underlying.
