With the development of science and technology, academic disciplines indeed have become so specialized that many more new frontier branches have stand as new subjects independent, such as nuclear physics, quantum mechanics, which can only reach a narrow audience. However, I disagree with the speaker's contend that the scholars' idea can only be useful when they can reach a wider audience.

Due to the fast speed of development nowadays, the objects researched becomes increasingly penetrate into abstruseness. The basic knowledge, which can be received by wide groups of people, are the most superficial knowledge of the exist world. As an informed scholar, he should dig into the essence of an object, which is the ultimate goal an academic discipline should pursue for. Take the research of atoms for example, a century ago, no one would image that an object can be broke down into numerous matters which is now called atom. However, today not only did scientist have a clear understand of the atom, but also make us know that an atom is not the smallest stuff in the world, which is composed of the proton, neutron and the small electron. Just because only when the science developed to a certain high threshold, can we need to make a further study of the objects, as a result academic disciplines have become more and more specialized.

Thanks to such development, we can come to solve the once considered the impossible matters. Plane, spaceship, television, computer, MP3, DVD are all the witness of the help which specialized disciplines bring about. And whenever using these high-technique tools, as a common person, we needn't to understand how does it work. Without the discovery of electron, there would be no quantum mechanics which is the main knowledge we used to invent any electric appliance. Without the narrow relative theory, broad relative theory will have no possibility, so does the discovery of planet in the Milky Way. Till now, the scientists are still devoting their lives to the frontier of science, none of them would be afraid of that their ideas would be little use.

Admittedly, there are some disciplines now may be of no use, but someday in the future, I think, they will be another preeminent basic knowledge for the following generations. Since they were the objects on the world, they have their own natural value which we may now haven't dig out. Moreover, when concerning about the social science, I concede that as it is a subject intimately linked with human beings, it should be make known and understanderable for more people. Anyhow to some extent, using the discoveries between humans' behavior and evlovation can render us a better understand of ourselves and therefore contribute to better our thoughts for developing the world.

In sum, the specialized disciplines are the symbol that human beings have come to a high-developed standard of science and technology. In today's competitive world, depending on the use of frontier science can benefit us most. So it is not necessary for a wider audience to grasp the academic disciplines which have become specialized, and still we can enjoy our wisdom as a human being.
