Pursing for success has always being a permanent goal for everyone. The speaker contends that the only way to succeed is to take a practical point of view, rather than be idealistic. And he adds that pragmatic behavior can guarantee survival, while idealistic views are incline to be replaced by simpler, more immediate options which will prohibit the coming of success. However, in my view, owning an idealistic point of view is of the same important as being practical.

A practical strategy indeed ensured the success to a great extent. As an old chinese saying goes, "one should not reach for what is beyond one's grasp", we were told to be realistic since very young. For example a best plan is always based on the current condition, the tactic on the war is a case in point. Before any order claimed to the thousands of soldiers, an officer need to take an overview of the whole situation which play a considerable role in determining a decision. If an officer has not scrutinized the current condition, and immediately points out what he assumes that need to be done, we can image the result of this battle will be a fiasco which attributes to just a simple impractical conduct. From this we can see that pragmatic behavior is the basic need for survival, without practical measures any behavior will result in disastrous.

However, possessing an idealistic point of view can not only make one see the goal more clearly and hold the target more tight, but also help to guide one's practical strategies. The old saying mentioned before is to tell us not to be much fantastic, but what we urgent need is a proper dream. Without a practical dream, no one can reach what he or she wants. You may ask that there is a paradox here in the phrase "practical dream", in fact, this is just the essence for one to obtain the ultimate goal: success. Anyone who can balance the realistic and the idealistic is the preeminent person who can reach the fruit of success from which we should learn. We cannot make the idealistic dream so far away from our actuality, also we cannot make a dream can be easily purchase.

Consider, for example, the primitive had already dreamed of flying like a bird freely in the sky, however, at that time, such idea can just be determined as an fantasy for the productivity had not reach a certain standard to consider such unrealistic object. Whilst with the development of science and technology, the consistent dream for flying propelled human beings to realize the possibility of flying. However, if there were not such idealistic dream, who can believe that the plane has become as the most common vehicles in our life today? Also in the process of making a plane, the imagination is required most. Therefore if controlled well, there is no worry about that idealistic views tend to be superceded by simpler, more immediate options.

In summary, getting down to work with a practical point of view, one should have an idealistic dream which directs the correct position at a high level. Only balance and distinct well between the realistic and the idealistic can he or she right be on the way to success.
