The speaker thinks history could only tell us one thing that knowing past is no use to current people making important decisions. There has a saying: No history, no future. It is unfair to what the speaker to say so, in my opinion, history helps a lot to today's people to make important decisions, we can not only imbibe lessons and learn technology development from it, but inherit culture as well. History has essential use of reference value.

Firstly, we can have lessons according to the history. History told us the ancients had made some mistake in their ages such as war, and told us the result of making these mistakes, so today's people could learn from history and never make the same mistakes again. For instance, The First War and the Second War brought huge pains and calamity to the people all around the world. So, what we stand to the current age topic is " Peace and develop"; the long time aggression war that Japan do to China makes Chinese know draw together means powerful, the mightiness of selves could reject the aggressors. Only when we admit the history, and conclusion the lessons, we could make a bright future.

Secondly, history could provide us lots of experience and methods from the big success the ancients had made. At all time and in all over the world, history bring us many success and progressing, such as the Watt invented the Smoke machine, this provide images to the smoke train; Einstein discover electrics and invent light, this prompt the other inventions like televisions, radios, microwaves and Brother ？(莱特兄弟) invented the initial manpower plane prompt the thinking of airplane and space shuttle. All of these examples show that history has made overfly for people to make other progresses nowadays and in the future.

Moreover, learning from history could also bring us important meaning of continue the social habitude and moral standard. One of the current American social’s spirit is “American Dream”, this spirit has a centuries-old origin of history; Modern American still advocate creation, as a consequence, they have successes in every aspects of community, and the education in school also highly advocate the innovative spirit. Therefore, pass history, the social habitude and moral standard have been inherited to later generations.

In sum, History helps current people to making important decisions more wisdom whatever from wars, technology developments, keeps down the culture and features to every nations and even make essential decision to the anticipation of future life. People should remember what history had told us and teach us, and never make the same mistakes that had happened in history, and use for reference of history to make the world more prosperous and better.
