When faced with the issue that who gives society something of lasting value, artist or critic, I believe that both of them give society of ever-lasting valuable arts, for arts are created by artists, and are recognized and discovered from the general and mediocre arts by critics. Besides, critics play a role to criticize artists and introduce them to originate value of art rather than to simply meet majority demand.

As a threshold matter, it is undoubted that the artists create and develop arts which provide society with lasting precious of are. Art, aimed to express emotion and demonstrate beauty and evil to people, is admired on the beauty it elaborates, the precise description it presents and the ideas within it, as well as the innovation of style and method in presentation and the far-reaching influence on the future generations. All the feats are made by artists, who possess the genius of art. Such examples are not rare, the sculpture of David, made by Michelangelo, Italy, exactly exhibits the construct of a man with power, and the fate symphony of Beethoven, expresses the spirit of determination to struggle with destiny.
