Issue 17
"There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

There are no absolutely just or unjust laws. Justice is a relative definition, changing from different individuals or even groups of individual – societies. So the laws based on it have no absolutely just or unjust, since they maybe varied between societies. As far as I was concerned, I strongly agree with the statement that everyone in a definite society should follow the just laws in it, but not the later part that everyone should disobey and resist unjust laws.

First of all, the individuals as part of a society have their responsibility to obey just laws. Laws are constituted to protect individual rights and properties, representing the mainstream of social values holding by most of people. When we talk about laws, there are two sides: rights and obligations. That’s why as a citizen in a society or country, one should first comply with the laws them pursue their rights. Just imagine, if no one obeys the existed laws, where the society will go? So everyone in the society should follow the mainstream of the society to survive and protect themselves.

Secondly, the problem with the statement is that making a distinction of just and unjust is not an easy job for individuals. Many social problems are so complicated that different people hold different opinions, and it is hardly separate just from unjust. For example, the controversial issue of laws on legal abortion has been constantly debated for nearly twenty years in America President elections. The discussion mainly revolves around human rights and individual will. Those who consider abortion as unjust argue that it deprives the basic living right of human embryos or fetuses, while others who maintain that it unfairly deprives the will of an individual.  Arguments like this are social problems that couldn’t be clearly declared. So let the individuals to judge the just or unjust is not wise.

Last but not the least, as we all known, most of the law systems themselves have approaches to adjust the unjust laws in a proper process. Many times, the individuals who disobey or resist the existed laws in an illegal way would only receive punishment such as pay fines or even sent to gaol. And the struggle for just laws through legal approaches is always proved to be successful. Take the fighting for women election rights, as the example. Organizations of non-governmental women right, not the individuals struggling for decades in America, finally make obtain the right to vote and elect. So disobey and resist the so-called “unjust laws” is unadvisable, especially for individuals.

To the conclusion, the individuals have their responsibility to obey laws in society they lived in, whether just or unjust in their own opinion. And when encounter unjust laws toward individual or the particular groups, taking proper and legal progress to struggle for it is the best choice.

拍的底气不足啊

There are no absolutely just or unjust laws. Justice is a relative definition, changing from different individuals or even groups of individual – societies. So the laws based on it have no absolutely just or unjust, since they maybe varied between societies. As far as I was concerned, I strongly agree with the statement that everyone in a definite society should follow the just laws in it, but not the later part that everyone should disobey and resist unjust laws. (关于法律的公平与否有个重要的特点就是对不同人利益,加上它论述就更完美了)Ts有点模糊,特别是不同意是么:人们要遵守不平法律,还是应该用其他方法来对抗不平法律,我觉的中心句里有必要说清。

Just imagine, if no one obeys the existed laws, where the society will go?(呵呵,这个假设结束的有点草率, 其实你的角度很多:respect others. Keep the people normal life. ) So everyone in the society should follow the mainstream of the society to survive and protect themselves.

Secondly, the problem with the statement is that making a distinction of just and unjust is not an easy job for individuals.(最为分论点应该直接根总题有关,题目是关于responsibility to obey和个人区别法律的困难,关系密切吗?) Many social problems are so complicated that different people hold different opinions, and it is hardly separate just from unjust. So let the individuals to judge the just or unjust is not wise.(这个例子证明不同人们different people hold different opinions,进而不同时期法律的内容不同,或说明人们对打胎的看法不同一,但distinction of just and unjust is not an easy job for individuals才是你的论点,不同一就说明hard distinction吗。 其实判断公平与否对于个人很简单,法律维护了既得利益个人就会认为是公平的,反之则不公平。)

Last but not the least, as we all known, most of the law systems themselves have approaches to adjust the unjust laws in a proper process. Many times, the individuals who disobey or resist the existed laws in an illegal way would only receive punishment such as pay fines or even sent to gaol. And the struggle for unjust(这都能错,I服了U) laws through legal approaches is always proved to be successful. Take the fighting for women election rights, as the example. Organizations of non-governmental women right, not the individuals struggling for decades in America, finally make obtain the right to vote and elect. So disobey and resist the so-called “unjust laws” is unadvisable, especially for individuals.(好的没的说)

To the conclusion, the individuals have their responsibility to obey laws in society they lived in, whether just or unjust in their own opinion. And when encounter unjust laws toward individual or the particular groups, taking proper and legal progress to struggle for it is the best choice.
