Should government place restriction s on science?
Should the government place restriction s on scientific research and development? The speaker asserts it is not necessary. While restriction may be the obstacle of research, I still agree with the speaker. My reasons are as follows.

Admittedly, many restrictions will decline the pace of research. When the scientists were doing research in the lab, the government came in and searched the lab for the reason that checking what them were doing, which was a disaster for the scientists and may break their pace of research. Therefore, much more restrictions must damage the welfare of the human beings. On the other hand, many restrictions will decline the financial assist to the research, which will stop many researches that will make benefits for the world. From this point of view, many restrictions not only decline the passion of scientist to do research, but also decrease the support to research. Therefore government should place few restrictions on scientific research and development.

Obviously, many restrictions will decline the scientists' creation for the nature. We can't image that an investor who was restriction by government will make any break through in any ground. They are in fear of all the time not breaking the restrictions. If there is one who ignores these restrictions, he or she may be the extreme person. He or she may do the opposite for the government even to fight against the government, they will make some dangerous tools and there is no doubt that it will damage the society. Therefore, the scientists' great creations may died before them were taken into practice.

However, it is also disaster that there is no restriction. It is necessary to government to make any restriction to keep the immoral standards and safety of the society. Such as, genetic clone and nuclear weapon research which was disaster to human beings must under the government's restriction. Without restriction these technologies may be used by terrorist to make large damage even let the human beings meet the end.

To sum up, this is a complex issue which connects moralities, humanities and many other issues. While it is not wise to make an easy conclusion on it, I think that it is not necessary to place many restrictions on scientific research and development which will brings welfare to human beings and there is not doubt that the government must place restrictions on them which threaten the human beings.
