It is a proliferated manner that the CEOs of companies and the presidents of nations are changed after a certain period. This manner does have its benefits that ensure chances for the young and less totalitarism. However, the length of the period of power transition need more consideration and vary from one situation to another and may not be perfect if we cancel the tenured full professor.

Above all, the new leader would bring more energy to the political and business field with their revolution. The Americans value the inauguration of Obama as a chance to find a way out of the mess, both economically and politically. The second day Obama inaugurated, the litigation of prisons in Guantanamo Bay suspend for 120 days. And the president promised to close that jail, which is regarded as a progress of the US government's international reputation. Moreover, shortly after Obama gave his oath, he addressed that he would have new tacks to bring the American economy out of the downturn. All these seem impossible if we do not have the policy of reelect the president in every four years.

Additionally, the transitions of both political and business position present chances for the young that motivate them upgrade their performance. It is true that there is only one president of the US and one chairperson of a corporation. But the policy makes it impossible for those people to dream and fulfill their dream. When a father is talking with his son, the words that 'if you keep perform like this you would possibility be next president' encourage the boy to maintain his good performance. Thus, one position of president encourages thousands of thousand of kids from one generation to another. It is exactly the same when it comes to those new comers of a company. It is perfectly wonderful to witness those ones with talents and making effort finally achieve success by being the chairperson of the Microsoft of GM. And all these are impossible if we do not reelect our president or change our chairperson. Actually, children may lose their will to behavior well and the new comers, even those who have worked in companies for years would only focus how to make profits of themselves instead of the film since they realize little chance to achieve the top position. That will be a pity of both the nation and the business field.

Moreover, how long should the period be in those fields of politics and business? Five years or longer? From my perspective of view, the period should guarantee that the leaders have enough time to implement their new policies, to modify the nations directions or reconsider the new industry a company should invest. The period should present enough time for the civilians or the staff examine the outcome of the policies, that is effective or not. Meanwhile, it should not be too long as the public or companies have time to reassign new leaders and rescue the situations before it is too late.

Nonetheless, it may not be a wonderful policy when it comes to the field of education, in which people's ability gained accompany with their age, as experience plays a vital role. The policy of stepping down power guarantees to cancel tenured full professors in the university. However, the tenured full professors' positions are not replaceable. Actually, those professors are the ones that study in certain fields throughout the life, others cannot take their positions without specific knowledge. Fortunately, the less transitions of professors do not affect the young's ambitious and the possibility of revolution in the field of education, as the university could create more positions for the qualified persons. The positions of powered in the field of education are not incompatible to others. After considering these conditions, it is not necessary to replace the tenured full professors in the field of education.

In sum, a president or CEO's power should be stepped down in order to search for the way out of ongoing mess and maintain the ambitious of those ones struggling to be leaders. But the periods vary from different situation according to the time a policy would effect to a nation or a company and for them to rescue if the policies bring side effects. The power of education such as tenured full professors should not be replaced as we could create new positions for the young while their knowledge are irreplaceable.
