1. 偶像的确应该学习。因为：树立榜样；激励精神。
2. 由于自身情况和偶像不同，所以不能照搬。必须要考虑到自身的情况，做出最终的选择。
3. 偶像也是有不足的，所以不能照搬。  

The speaker claims that role models are placed too much emphasis and suggests that people should learn to think and act independently instead of copying others and thereby make the best choices for them. As far as I am concerned, I agree that role models should be learnt due to their positive influence to others. Moreover people should learn to think independently to make their own choice because of different circumstances and personalities with role models, which are not suitable for people to copy others.

To begin with, with excellent merits and inspiring hopes for populace, role models should be paid much attention. Firstly, a role model with some excellent traits--such as diligence, honesty, persistence set a good example for people to follow. At this time, people can adopt their merits and animate their behaviors to succeed more quickly. For example, the three lamped chairs made by Edison told us the diligence which was one of the factors to person's success.  We are informed that Lincoln walked back 3 kilometers to return the 6 cents, which indicates the importance of honesty. Secondly, the role model can inspire human's wishes and encourage people to strive in order to have the same life as role model. An example conjures up in my mind is Obama, whose experience instructs us that you can be one of Obama through your endeavor. His famous words 'Yes, we can' echo the strong emotion of American people and let them believe that we can overcome the American Crisis. This is the magic of role model who can be the star in the darkness and inspire the sparkles of hope.

However, even if the role models have so many advantages, it is not reasonable for people to just copy them considering the changing living circumstance and different personalities. For supporting example, Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft Company, terminated his study in Harvard University and took part in the invention of MC-DOS. If people just copy his behavior to drop out in university, they will be doomed failure in respect that not everyone has his talents. Thus, people should analyze models' successful experience and conclude the worthy characters, and then learn their merits to gain own achievements. Blindly copying and following the model's experience, overlooking individuality may result in loss of independence and aim.

Additionally, models also have disadvantages which are not suitable for human to learn. Copying models will bring about the fatal results instead of promising fruits as expected. A case in point is the depressing event that China totally copied Soviet Union planned economy model in the earlier foundation. The planned economy truly accumulated all the resources to develop heavy industries; while ignored the development of light industry and impeded market economy development. The history of Soviet Union proves that the total planned economy his inborn deficiencies, which let Chinese people tasted the bitter outcome of easily copy. Considering the different fundamental realities in China, Chinese destroyed the total planned economy and adopted the market economy, which brought the prosperous economy. In the personal level, Edison, the most famous inventor, missed the chance to explain the Edison Effects because he belittled the theory research. Thus we must saw deficiency of role models when we are followed their example.

In conclusion, with so many advantages role models indeed need our attention. Yet discarding their deficiencies we must learn to adopt their advantages and make our own best choice according to own situation.
