Science and art are two essential elements that take part in modern life. Science, as many people think, brings precise predicts and astonishing inventions to life that makes people more and more comfortable more than ever; while the art, always gives new styles, and makes people think about it, yet have no clear answers, but controversy all the time. So the question rises, whether science gives us reassure and art gives us upset?

Science's origin is in search of the " Laws of Nature", and continues as an important method through which human beings can better understand nature and make efficient use of it. Science is the only weapon that rescues the human being from superstition. Men never sacrifice the young children to please certain "god", which is often done 2,000 years ago, in the time of ignorant. Science, as powerful as it has accurate proof, made the Europeans liberate from the dark medieval centuries, which is a time there is no human rights, no freedom of speech, and all people's behavior is oversee by the Christian church. And because of that, modern people often study science as a sign that they are open-minded.

However, science does not always make positive progress, especially now, when it reached the point where it can totally change nature. As soon as men have known the function of science, especially the technology, they made use of it quickly. One perfect example is the development of industry. As the steamer is available for spinning, the cities of England became the place which is called "smocking cities", for the huge pollution generated from coal, which is the key energy to propel the steamer. People often die from the smoke, yet it never seems to have an end, for the profit is large.

As for art, it acts to express our emotions and explore humanity depths. Creativity and imagination are the essential elements in any form of art worthy of being called so. Art often confronts us with an unknown world filled with uncertainty and lack of reason. Chinese penmanship is one kind of art, and it has a long history. China has a long history, and uniquely, the culture of it never breaks. Chinese penmanship is a culture that has different style of different times, which represents the inclination of different people, and the way they think of the art and the life.
However, art can also show us a vivid and hopeful world through its unique treatment of human emotion. Beethoven's Fate Symphony brings us the unyielding spirit, which anyone listens to it, would have a distinctive change. And, the Divine Comedy, which is written by Italian poet Dante, is an epochal literature that starts the trend of the Reveal.

In conclusion, we cannot judge science and art at surface. Both science and art have made great contributions to the human society, and the cooptation of science and art finally rescues human race from the dark medieval time. Thanks to science and art that today we live a happy life.
