TOPIC: ISSUE47 - "Society does not place enough emphasis on the intellect-that is, on reasoning and other cognitive skills."

The intellect work is very significant for the development of society. In today's society,except some repeatation work, there are many careers need the reasoning and other cognitive skills. And, the society already pay much attention on this intellection work, such as research.

Society does need various workers to do some repeatation work, such as farmers, waitress and so forth. They are the fundemental compoments of the society, for providing the basic food and service, based on which we can focus on our own work. In china, the majority are farmers, the goverment make lots of effect to take them to be rich, because they are the fundemental of our society, we can do nothing without their work.

However, that does not mean society does not place enough emphasis on the intellect. On the contrary, the society pay much back to some people who are doing the reasoning and planning work.  

In the company, the most significant work is from the decision making group, consisting of CEO, CTO and so on. They focus on the work that how to promot their products, why they lose many market share, what will they do in next semester. That are the planning and reasoning work they are doing, and nobody can deny that they are the highest salary receiver. The repeat work can only get short term benefits, only the intellect work can bring the company as a whole to get long term profits, that is why society place much attention on the people own the specific skills.

Another example is in the university, it is well known that the professor are respected, for their excellent research work, which is also based on reasoning, presentation and creation skills. The first step of research is to survey a topic, and then find out why the problem are not very addressed, aslo known as the cognitive step. Furthermore, a much creative idea will be figured out and wrote down as a paper, which are based on the presentation and creation skills. As a result,  for the professors' smart works, people admire and respect for them.

Someone may argue that the CEO and professor cases are too special, but such intellect skill are also needed in the basic work. As a farmer, he or she will reason why this plant is much popular this year, that means it earned much more money. The ones who made the right decision based on experience and intellect will earn more for their high price plants.

Overall, the society already place much emphasis on the reasoning and other cognitive skill works. The people who do these works get much feedback from the society. Aslo, this kind of work is need in each career. Certainly, the repeatation work should not be igored though.

结构最好还是标准的五段式。论证应该更详细一些。语言比较流畅。
