Basic moral and ethical standards should be maintained for everyone. There is no exception for an effective leader. However, an affective leader, no matter how wise or eminent, is human and can make mistakes, let alone disobeying some ethical and moral standards. To some extent, the highest ethical and moral standards are not very important and even unnecessary for people to an effective leader.

How should effective leaders be defined? People, who can attract many people with different backgrounds and personal characters to finish a same task, can be called an effective leader. Maybe the ways to be an effective leader are quite different for different people. Some people are regarded as high moral or ethical ones while some are accused for their ignorance of basic ethical and moral rules. No matter what they have done, so long as they manage to finish perfect tasks, they may be put into the group of effective leaders by the public.

In the realm of politics, people usually evaluate an effective leader from their great political achievement and put away the issue of morality which seems not important. Most of us may have learnt the story about a noble gangster named John Hawkwood. He was a gangster and brought a great deal of harm to Italian, for he sometimes hired his soldier band to princes to join in the wars. Despite these extreme immoral behaviors, he was regarded as the notable leader. The name of notable leader should be owned to his contribution of temporary stability in Italy. Another example concerns Bill Clinton, the former president. He was accused by his extramarital sexual behavior with an internship clerk. However, his leadership was still regarded as highly effective and strong one. Hence, people disregard the mistake in moral and ethical aspects but take the achievement as the criteria of an effective leader.

In the field of business, there are times when some effective leaders even ignore the basic ethical and moral rules. In order to increase the sales of their products in some small firms, the leaders have to stimulate their employees in term of money or other rewards such as promotion and deliberately exaggerate the benefits of the products, some of which may take little effect. Their firms get rapid growth in this way. After the accumulation of primary fund, they begin endeavoring to improve the products’ quality. Finally, these firms become bigger and offer many jobs. Viewing from their larger scale and social contribution, we may give these managers the name-effective leaders. Considering the work these effective leaders have done, they to some degree cheat their customers. If they fail to do so, maybe these large firms have collapsed and many people are still unemployed. Hence, it is not necessary for an effective leader to obey the highest ethical and moral standards.

Based on what is mentioned above, we can realize that people may not obey the highest moral and ethical standards can be effective leader and some of them even disregard some basic moral rule. Therefore, it is to some extent important and unnecessary to obey the highest ethical and moral standards.

Basic moral and ethical standards should be maintained for everyone. There is no exception for an effective leader. However, an affective(effective) leader, no matter how wise or eminent, is human and can make mistakes, let alone disobeying some ethical and moral standards. To some extent, the highest ethical and moral standards are not very important and even unnecessary for people to an effective leader.

How should effective leaders be defined? People, who can attract many people with different backgrounds and personal characters to finish a same task, can be called an effective leader.(最好给点定义的来源,没有的话就说generally accepted,或者说from my point of view也会显得更合理一点) Maybe the ways to be an effective leader are quite different for different people.

The name of notable leader should be owned to his contribution of temporary stability in Italy.(我想家都应该看过新概念3,呵呵。有新意,但是分析要到位,这个论断欠缺支持) Another example concerns Bill Clinton, the former president. He was accused by his extramarital sexual behavior with an internship clerk. However, his leadership was still regarded as highly effective and strong one. Hence, people disregard the mistake in moral and ethical aspects but take the achievement as the criteria of an effective leader.

In the field of business, there are times when some effective leaders even ignore the basic ethical and moral rules.(这个挑战过于大了,建议把basic去掉) In order to increase the sales of their products in some small firms, the leaders have to stimulate their employees in term of money or other rewards such as promotion and deliberately exaggerate the benefits of the products, some of which may take little effect. Their firms get rapid growth in this way. After the accumulation of primary fund, they begin endeavoring to improve the products’ quality. Finally, these firms become bigger and offer many jobs.

评语:还是上次的话,希望作者能善于举例。就算举范例,也要紧扣题目分析。而不是描述很多分析很少。共勉共勉。
