4th assignment
Totally: 3 hours
It is the old saying that says that "People who are outside are dependent on the friends", which obviously the majority always can not agree with more, especially when he falls in hardship just beyond the coverage of the relatives' pretections(protections). Therefore, everyone has his own criteria to select the closed friends. For example, some put much more weights on the intelligence of his friends or on the sense of humor. As to me, I think that these two charming personalities do not beat each other as many think, and I would rather like to make friends with both.
Firstly, it is doubtable that the intelligence and the sense of humor stand in the opposite direction, even though it can not be denied that the majority of the extremely intelligent people are always takeing(taking) everything seriously, which makes people around them feel boring. Let us distinguish these concepts clearly. According to the explaination(explanation) from the authorized dictionary, intelligent people can understand, learn, and feel things quickly, whereas people with sense of humor always find the things amazing, rather than being seriously all the time. Therefore, they are not contrary. The former endorses people with the ability to obtain the new points of view, and the other titles them with sophisticated skills to boardcast(broadcast) their thoughts.
Scondly(secondly), it is definitely still within the human being's potentions(potential for doing sth) to combine intelligence with sense of humor perfectly. The historical records are full of the celebrated people, who are not only brilliant, but also could make others cheerly(cheerfully) and pleasantly to take the other kinds of life values different from their owns completely. For example, Mark Twain, an Amercian(American) writor(writer), was famous for protarying(portraying) the Amercian(American) subjects in humourous(humorous) language, playing significant role in creating the unique Amercian(American) literature aparting(apart) from that of the British. As known, his first novel, the Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, helped establish the reputation as a humorist, the origins of which were frme(from) the folklore of the Gold Rush era. Therefore, by taking advantage of one of the his(his) personalities, the sense of humor, the author was successful in lively and vividly expressing his perspectives original from his brilliance. Accordingly, there is not limitation to finding both attractive features in only one's personality.
As to me, I would like to hold hands with the people, who have the comprehensive qulities(qualities), to accompany each other walking alonge(along) the residual lives. And surely, intelligent people inspire me to grasp the inherent specility(specifics) of the subjects making them distinct from other items. After observing the colorful and complex world, talent people have more deeper(much deeper) insights into the realistic situation, summarize up as the personal experiences(experiences), and benefit me, one of their friends, to treat with life more easily(easily). Coincidently, our interactions in relaxible atmosphere(relaxing atmosphere), are abundant with the laugh and worth of cherishing memory, just because of them apt to adding the homourous(humorous) factors into our conversations, or communications.

6 Mark Twain
Samuel Langhorne Clemens, who wrote under the pen name Mark Twain, is sometimes called a regionalist for his vivid portrayals of Southern character and dialect. However, he also ranks among the great American realists because he scrupulously included so many sides of life in his works and refused to make the horrifying look palatable. He published from 1865 until 1910, but his literary fame was firmly rooted in the 19th century and its crises of racism, class conflicts, and poverty.
American writer and humorist, whose best work is characterized by broad, often irreverent humor or biting social satire. Twain’s writing is also known for realism of place and language, memorable characters, and condemnation of hypocrisy and oppression. Twain's works also include some of the best American humor.
