It's better to watch serious movies to get deeper think or watch movies that amuse or entertain you.

When asked whether we should be serious about the meaning of a movie or what , different people might hold different attitudes. Someone think a good movie should not only bring audiences a happy time, but also leave them a deeper impression after they saw it. However, in my opinion, this statement is dogmatic and to some extent narrow minded, and I think that watching movies for entertainment is very reasonable and not worse than for deep thinking.

Firstly, movies were firstly invented for entertainment and until present days their main work are still providing audiences more happiness rather than educating them. There are hundreds of commercial comedy movies produced every year in China and innumerable ones in the whole world. Especially, I have to say, most parts of Indian movies, in Bollywood, are comedy movies and what is more, most parts of scenes in an Indian movie are people’s dancing and singing. Indians are so much keen on this kind of comedy movies that we can hardly imagine. So what if we shoot more serious movies with more deep thinking and meaning for those Indian audiences? Can it be better for them? Or educate them and lead them to a better life? As far as I concerned, movies are perfect entertaining tools but never good at educating. Reading books and listening a lecture can be far more efficient ways of learning and studying than watching a movie. Thus it is very reasonable for us to watch movies just for fun.

On the other hand, movies are very effective on catching up people’s mind. I mean movies using special techniques can provide the views and sounds vividly, and in that case, audiences are easy to feel the emotions or thought in the movie the directors want to express. Thus a good movie can make us laugh, scare, or cry. However, we should not be too serious about the movie, because movies are virtual and imaginary. In the movies, we always see the handsome boys and beautiful girls, talent or genius scientists. The characters in a movie are usually exaggerated in order to strongly express the plots. In that case, if we take much serious about the meaning the movies present, we might be misled or misunderstand the movies.

All in all, according to the analysis above, we can safely draw a conclusion that in most cases, it is better to watch a movie for fun and not be so serious about the deep meaning of a movie.

When asked whether we should be serious about the meaning of a movie or what , different people might hold different attitudes. Someone think a good movie should not only bring audiences a happy time (happy hour.会不会更好?), but also leave them a deeper impression after they saw it. However, in my opinion, this statement is dogmatic and to some extent narrow minded, and I think that watching movies for entertainment is very reasonable and not worse than for deep thinking.

Firstly, movies were firstly(前面有个firstly了,这用originally吧) invented for entertainment and until present days recentlytheir main works are still providing audiences more happiness rather than educating them. Reading books and listening a lecture(前面books 复数,lecture最好也是复数)can be far more efficient ways of learning and studying than watching a movie(movies). Thus it is very reasonable for us to watch movies just for fun.
On the other hand, movies are very effective on catching up people’s mind. I mean movies using special techniques can provide the views and sounds vividly, and in that case, audiences are easy to feel the emotions or thoughts in the movie the directors want to express. Thus(therefore,) a good movie can make us laugh, scare, or(even) cry. However, we should not be too serious about the movie, because movies are virtual and imaginary. 4.10   Many teachers assign homework to students every day. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

When asked whether teachers should regularly assign homework every day or not, different people hold different positions. Some people who agree with this statement argue that regular daily homework will help students form a good study habit. Others disagree that the daily homework might be tedious and heavy the burden of studying pressure for some students. As far as I concerned, daily homework is not necessary and beneficial for students.

Firstly, different students have their own ways of learning and studying, which should not be regulated by a uniform education method. Some students who have talent and strong comprehension capabilities can understand all knowledge in the class might not need repetitive homework. In that case, a daily homework is not as helpful as teachers originally thought. Take my old classmate in the high school as an example. He is very smart and quick thinking and had never finished the homework assigned every day but always got a high score in the final exams. Therefore, homework should be assigned according to the individual capabilities but not the time, and a daily homework might be not necessary.

Secondly, daily homework might aggravate the burden of study in school, especially for the young students in a primary school or junior high school. Children need leisure time for enjoying the after-school activities. We should intrigue the students’ interests and emphasize on the cultivation of their creation and imagination, and thus children can explore their intrinsic gifts or talents. If students are busy doing homework every day, do they have the enough time on what they are really interesting about. When I was a teenage student, teachers always leave me lots of homework. I had to do a lot of mathematics and chemical homework which were very tedious and difficult for me. So the homework I dislike spent me much time, and sometimes drove me mad. More tedious the homework is, more time it costs.

In sum, according to the analysis above, we can draw a conclusion that daily homework is not necessary.

4.16  Telephones have had more positive effects on human kind than televisions
A little question :50分钟,,,如何保证写作的时间限制在30分钟以内,而不影响质量?

Since the electromagnetic wave has firstly been proved existent and applied into radio communication, the era of information explosion is getting underway. Telephones and televisions are both the most influential inventions for all of us. However, as the old saying goes, every coin has two sides, most inventions have also negative effects on human, when we are enjoying the convenience and benefits they give to us. In terms of telephones and television, I think both of them have positive and negative effects in different aspects, which could not be measured which one is more positive. My postion is illustrated as following.

Firstly, most of people think the television has a number of negative effects on people, especially for children, because it is harmful for our fitness and health. More children nowadays are short-sighted and wearing glasses, since they are watching too much TV. Also people are now over weight because lack of outdoor exercises. Instead they spend most time on watching TV in the sofa. In other cases, however, televisions indeed give us a lot of entertainment, as well as other benefits. For instance, it broaden our eyes that we can see lots of news happening in the other side of the world. This small television box supports a huge production chain, job opportunities and media market, like advertising, football game rebroadcasting, and so on. What is more, TV set has also improved our nations more democratic, because the policy is more transparent for folk people. All in all, television has both negative and positive effects that we can not decide which is overweight.

Secondly, when we are astonished by the supor convinience that telephones have brought to us, only a few people might think telephones have also negative effects on us. As the same way as the television indirectly harms our physical health, scientists have always been researching the negative influence of the electromagnetic radiation by cell phones on our brain, and it does have some researching results indicates a negative effect. In other cases, when we are enjoying the convenience that chatting on phone at any time and anywhere, more or less we lose the happiness of face to face talk, with our relatives and friends. In order to improve the effeciency of working, tons of messages and missed calls are flowing to us in our sleeping time or leisure time. Sometimes it is hard to make your phones be off for a few time in one day. Thus, considering with those changes of life telephones brought us, we cannot guarrantee that the telephones are more positive or negative to our health and life.

In sum, according to the analysis above, we can draw a conclusion that we should not be so serious about which invention is more positive or negative on human, but both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages.

4.15 Parents do not understand their children as well as parents did 50 years ago
Honestly speaking, although I have no children right now, I could be no more agree with the statement that present days children are not easily understood as well as maybe 20 years ago, not even to say 50 years ago. This phenomenon confuses lots of people and it is not easy to explain clearly and conclusively, but my reasons are as follows.

Firstly, as the society we live in has dramatically changed over the past decades, generation gap is getting much obvious and harsh. Nowadays children are more independent and protecting their individual feelings. Parents did not grow up in such a rapid developing environment can not be easily access to their children’s behavior by their conventional wisdom. What children might think is super cool and attracting is not acceptable for parents.

Secondly, the technological improvement such as the prevailing internet, computer games, and TV shows, have brought lots of convenience to our lives, but on the other hand, cut our time of enjoying a family gathering, or a family camping on weekend. Children enjoy playing games in the internet or watching TV all day, thus a father-and-son talk rarely goes on.

Last but not the least, an increasing number of parents chooses to send their children to the foreign schools in order to receive better education. What is more, young teenagers nowadays are in favor of attending colleges or universities far away from home. Both of these cases lead to less communication and interact between children and parents, because of the distance separation.

All in all, according to the above reasons, we may safely draw a conclusion that parents do not understand their children as well as parents did 50 years ago
