Should society place more emphasis on the intellect-that is, on reasoning and other cognitive skills? A growing number of people think so, while some believe there should be more emphasis on emotion. As to me, I insist that the society should pay as much attention on intellect as on emotion.

As we all know, the intellect quality of a person educated is essential to his success. Any person, who would become a science, who would be elected as a leader, who could be a successful businessman, who would like to be a good engineer, or even who might fulfill the position of announcer, must accept enough intellect education before he/she can achieve his/her success. No one without a good intellect education will reason logically, cognize the things he/she may come into during his lifetime soundly. So, the intellect is vital to one's success.

More, the intellect of the society forces the world to develop quickly and towards a better tomorrow. The intellect makes the engineer invent a safer and more economical car and thus the transportation of the world is much more effective. The intellect urges the leaders of the countries to perform sound rules to develop each country faster and thus develop the world more quickly. No doubt, the intellect of the society is indispensable to the world developing.

The importance of the intellect is so apparent that it should be paid enough attention to. However the emotion should not be ignored not at the same time.

The emotion decides the success of an intellective person and the progress of the society. A business man will not succeed if he/she is of lower emotion quality. He can not control his emotion when he/she come into a durative negotiation, which may lead to his/her inferior position and the failing ultimately. Similarly an engineer without high emotion quality could not communicate sufficiently the information and ideas with others, such as his/her partners, leaders, which harms the quality of his work and at last the development of the technology. The same situations will come to the leaders, the workers, and so forth. All the worse emotion quality will undoubtedly hold back the steps of the success of a person and finally the steps of the society developing.

As discussed above, both intellect and emotion are so essential to a person as well as the society or the world that the society should not only pay attention to intellect, but also to emotion. Only in this way can a person be able and the society and the world be bettered.

UA食品安全硕 VS UBC食品科学硕

两个都是食品相关的授课硕，希望留加。 UA - Msc Specialization in Food Safety and Quality 优点：便宜，学费应该是2w刀爱屯生活成本也比温哥华低。ua食品专业比较好，问过大学的专业课老师，??读食品推荐UG和UA。缺点：冷冷冷城市位置&经济比不上温哥华，indeed上ab省food safety岗位比bc少两百个左右。最后一个学期可选实习/做project 实习要自己申请然后面试不是100%保证。专业太细分感觉只能做qa qc（虽然食品ng几乎都从这两个做起）aos因为积压太多停止，zc不明朗。 UBC - Master of Food Science 优点：气候温和，qs排名高（现在两个省zc都不好，不知道能不能留得下，如果要回国这是优点）课程涉及到的方面比较多，可选岗位会比较广？学校安排实习，bc食品岗位多一点点缺点：贵！一年学费四万六刀毕业之后找不到工作的话，生活在温哥华就是在烧钱，本人对花钱会比较焦虑。bcpnp改革之后要和所有bc硕士一起竞争，且细则未出，不明朗，如果像安省一样打分，我的地理位置和薪资是不占优势的。拿的不是理学硕士Msc，不知道这个会有什么影响？?

佐治亚理工深圳学院 ece vs 南洋理工

Pros: NTU是从小到大的梦校，毕业有机会留坡，费用40-50w，国内名气较大; GTSI课程可以选纯软，和读cs差不多了，在深圳方便找实习，行业内名气比NTU大，第二年可以交换到本部，毕业可拿opt和留服认证，费用:不交换20w，交换50-60w，低成本拿下美硕。 Cons: NTU是一年水硕，虽然我已经有一些实习和科研，但还是担心不好找工作。 GTSI是中外合办，未来情况不明朗，目前只有授课硕士，如果未来开设本科，并招收博士，国内认可度应该会和上纽差不多，甚至更好。行业外知名度不够高。目标行业：首选未来进大厂/外企，次选去银行，运营商，国企。目标岗位:开发（开发经验目前为0，只懂一点算法和产品）

目前： ①港科telecommunications 电信学 ②港科electronic engineering 电子工程 ③港中文electronic engineering 电子工程纯以就业为导向，不读博。求大佬指导哪个较好 1.港中文和港科对比，electronic engineering和telecommunications对比区别怎么样。 2.ntu回信说五月初会出一批offer，若新加坡南洋理工来了electronics选哪个好（NTU 排名高，但香港实习更方便？）以就业为导向，万分感谢大佬们指点！
