130"How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."
此题可分为两方面论述：一是孩子的社会化是否决定社会的命运；二是我们是否有有效的手段教育孩子。

Undoubtedly, it is of extraordinary importance not only to teachers and parents but also to every member within the society, that how children are socialized today, which "determines the destiny of society". Yet, we have not found out a definite answer to this question.

I think, first of all, it is because we ourselves even cannot draw a clear picture of the perfect society in the future. All we know is several individual elements of the fundamental characters of the better future, such as democracy, justice, open etc. However, how to combine them together effectively? Will all those principles we think meaningful today will still work tomorrow? These questions are in a sence beyond our intellegence. Then how can we educate our children about something we do not thoroughly know? When your innocent son asks you :” Dad, how can we know polygamy is still kind of evil when someday in the future the number of men become twice as much as that of women?”, I think, the answer that “It never gotta happen” is not such an answer as to help children socialized, while this is the unique answer.

In addition, unlike math, physics or literature, the course named socialization is not a course in which children can write down main principles on their notbook and take excercises backhome for further training, and then can improve themselves. Children should enter the real society to encounter all kinds of people and things, good or bad. Only in this way can children learn real lessons. But meanwhile, it is the way out the triditional education’s controll. So the special socialized chatacteristic of socialization education makes it a Gordian knot to us all.

Finally, every child has his or her own outlook of the value and the world. Even though not matural, it will lead to the diversification of the world, which is an important quality of a better siciety. However, there lies some possibility that our intentional socialization education will efface such kind of difference in children’s thought, because we tell every children what they can and cannot do, what society is a good society, you everyone should follow this way and construct that kind of society. Were this to happen, it would be a tragedy to society and to humanity. So each child need a individual course of socialization education which is specially designed for him or her, while it is neither feasible nor possible to force every couple of parents and every teacher to take the pain to do this. So it is another difficulty of the children-socialization problem.

Even though the task seems beyond our ability as presented above, it does not mean that we should just let it be. Still there is something we can do to help the children in socialize themselves. Help to set up a sense of social responsibility is to be first concered. Tell them to help the old man who wants to cross the road, tell them not to destory the public property, these are basic things but not ignorable, because it is these little things that construct the social mind in children’s brain. Again, the skill to communicate with others and the ability to learn new things are equally important. Nevertheless, it is a painstaking process for everyone to grow sociallized. The children themselves are ought to be the main force to solve this task, while we should do the best to help them.(by zclx)

No one would doubt the assertion that people never born to be separate from the outside real world ,for who have no access to be aside from touching
the society,then be socialized sooner or later.Children ,who made up the fundamental element of the power by which to inherit human civilization and create new,splendid legends,undoubtly determines the way that the society changed.but what set me apart from the speaker's broad assertion is the nature and motive of education.
The so-called "Socialization"is the adoption of the behaviour patterns of the surrounding culture,defined as converting and meeting the social needs,determines a society's future by making its members work as effective parts of it. Society is a huge constitution combined by individuals and groups, who need cooperation with each other and gain the methods for personal suffering and development
,everybody benefit from socialization,and
in return,contributes private ability,intelligence to society——only in this way ,can the social productivity multiplied so that we humans live well ,facing the ever-growing population and limited resources. It's socialized people who are the motive force for pushing forward the advance of history.Yet,where the rub is that how could we educate children to be a certificated "socialized"man who can promote the development of the society as the speaker's saying?or we can say ,the motive of raising the question is controversial.
A single man born in the civilization world has the opportunity to accept education.The basic goal of education,in my view,is to educate pure,innocent children recognize the global we live in,the way to think and analysis,mould their single character rather than,as the speaker's meaning,treat them as products on the product line which deprive of their right and freedom as a mankind unconsciously.To be a clear example,During the second world war,the Japanese government armed Japanese children with militarism thoughts and the tortuosity of their character results in thousands of slaughter aimd at unarmed civilians.we can't deny it's the tragedy of not only education but human civilization as well.It's ridiculous to press too much material thoughts which we believe is absolutely correct at present on children education,regardless of the respect of individual freedom of the choice that the way they like to be.And more philosophical issues about human rights,freedom ,and so forth, can't be drawn a complete picture in this brief essay.
In the final analysis,I partly agree with the speaker's assertion that children socialization is of great importance,which depends the trends of the direction the society advances.but we can't regard education in a utilitarian way——that may leads to a undesirable and unprecented consequence.

Admittedly, the degree of the socialization of children determines the destiny of society. However, I cannot agree with the latter part of topic, which says , as I understand , we have not acquired how to raise children who can contribute to a better society since the great development of education.
As we know ,the procedure to grow into a member of society defined as socialization. Hence, One to become socialized goes through assimilating value system of the culture, learning to position himself/herself in the daily life and getting accustomed to society. It is the socialization that tells human from animals. And without socialization one human probably could not notice the essential difference between man and monkey except distinct appearance.
The significance of how children socialized strongly connects with the elevation of current society with education serving to assure the right progress of the socialization as a keystone. There is no doubt children will be the main impetus to the wheel of society and how much children grasp who fostered as the pillar of society means a lot after around two decades of socialization. During the twenty prime years, education plays as the fundamental part of socialization whose width and depth totally influence the degree of the socialization. As a consequence, how children are educated makes a difference.
Family school and community compose the most majority source of the socialization. In the first place, children receive and absorb elementary and also crucial information of socialization which functions as the base of socialization before they enter school. Secondly, family education replaced by school education works as secondary part in the socialization with community taking part in as well. Thus , children live and grow under the influence of three elements, and habituate themselves to the stream of society with what they acquired and what they refuse to accept in the process.
How can we feel we have not learned the approach to raise children after seeing the new visage of the world created by numerous generations' efforts? However, the approach we have already master isn't the exact way to command children how to behave in the society but a way to instill discipline and virtues into the inner world of children and import helpful knowledge and skills to their eager young minds, which leads children to build a better society. As a illustration, leadership as one of the basic skills was needed one thousand ago to pull soldiers together and fight for victory. While a thousand later, bosses successfully run their companies also with an indispensable skill called leadership. That's why basic skill and knowledge become essential in every society and leave it to children how to make best use of them.
Now we can conclude a statement that socialization is the outcome of interaction of education and society itself and meanwhile only by adapting the basic knowledge imparted can children exert themselves in the different backgrounds. To sum up, it seems clear now that what's the proper way to educate children who can works as the hub of the society. Provided we offer a broad and profound quality education and children can make progress according to exchange with the circumstance, a better society can be built in the hands of the new generation.

How to socialize children is a common but serious problem in nowadays, which tends to be overlooked.
Children are the pillars of society in the future. In order to make children behave in a social responsible way afterward, we should place more emphasis on socializing children. On the other hand, socialization is a complex concept which changes with the development of time and society. In this decade, socialization should at least include the following.
First of all, children should acquire necessary knowledge, political, cultural, scientific, and technical. Then, team spirit is critical in modern society. Team work improves the ability of individual that works together. Few of excellent tasks are entirely accomplished by an individual all along. Instead, it is always achieved by the cooperation between workers from different subjects and areas. So the team spirit is what needs to foster in children from childhood. The third aspect of socialization, in my opinion, is creativity. Only by making innovation will the society maintains sustainable development. Existent Knowledge and technique are far from sufficiency considering the request of high developing pace of industry and more and more serious environment problems, as well as numerous unsolved medicine difficulties and so on. The solution to all this factors and problems hinges on creativity in a certain extent. So what we have nurtured in children? Nowadays, kids are as busy as adults are. They need to go to school on weekdays while on the weekend, training classes of all sorts are preparing for them. Some may think we have already placed enough attention to educating children. I concede that from the aspect of enriching children with knowledge, we do have done a lot. Children’s knowledge of science, art, culture is even outrunning that of many adults. Children are used to memorizing all kinds of materials assigned by teachers. As a consequence, despite how much they really understand, they know a lot for sure, which may be useful in their future life. By contrast, spirit of cooperation and creativity seems to be forgot by parents and teachers. Students take classes on math, English, science, history at school. Training classes are mostly about science or art. There are few opportunities for cultivating team spirit and creativity. Things go better these years. With more and more people realize the importance of the spirit of cooperation, school teachers begin to think about providing tasks involving team work of several students. The nation set some reward system inspiring children’s creativity as well. H dislike subject of science, math, the team work tasks and creative classes that have no finial examination or other evaluate method are not compulsory. Children always take it for granted that they are unimportant class. They tend to spend more time on subjects who is more important in their opinion, which leads to weakness in these aspects.
In my view, finding an effectual way of bettering socialize children is an imperative problem at present.
