The laboratory of Yun Zhou (https://ag.purdue.edu/btny/Pages ...750&intDirDeptID=10) in the Department of Botany and PlantPathology at Purdue University is seeking highly motivated applicants for thePhD position starting from Fall of 2022. The research assistantship of a PhDstudent provides fully financial support including the tuition waiver andstipend. English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) is required for non-native English-speakinginternational applicants.

The lab aims to determine the molecular andcellular mechanisms underlying shoot development and plant stem cellhomeostasis, through a combination of molecular genetics, live cell imaging,biochemistry and functional genomic approaches (Zhou et al., Nature 2015; Zhou et al., Science 2018; Han et al., Nature Communications 2020). Students with BS or MS in biology / plant biology or related fields, with great passion in studying plant moleculargenetics or developmental biology, are encouraged to apply.
