The speaker asserts that as major cities play a primary role in restoring and creating a nation’s cultural traditions, they, in order to thrive, should be given abundance of financial subsidiary from the government. I agree with this statement insofar as that monetary basis is imperative for maintaining a culture and generating new cultural crystals.

  Firstly, main characteristics, such as a multiplicity population, complex social environment and frequently various social activities, of major cities enable these places generating splendor cultural traditions. For example, literature salons and opera theaters, which evoke more literary innovative thoughts and inspired art achievements of France, born under a flourishing economic circumstance in Paris in the nineteenth century. Furthermore, as the classic principle of economics and politics philosophy said, the up-layer creation, which refers to the human beings’ cultural activities is determined by the economic fundamental. Therefore, it is advisable for government to invent myriad financial support in major cities to boost economy thriving, also ensuring a cultural traditions prosperity basis.

  Secondly, cultural traditions maintaining and renovating needs a large scale of financial support from government. For example, ancient architectures which preserving the intelligent crystals of ancient arts, should be given specially technical maintains; Education system which nurture youth individuals’ minds, should be equipped with advanced facilities and tutors; Museums, which restoring nation’s magnificently historical development trace, should be provided with modern provision managements. All of protection measures of cultural placements above need financial support which cannot be raised easily by individuals, rendered by the government.

  However, I don’t mean that government should pay less money in small cities’ development, despite I agree that major cities should receive a plentitude of governmental financial support so as to preserve a nation’s cultural traditions. As a segment of nation, playing a different role in a nation’s construction comparing with major cities, small cities also need to be given financial support in some specific areas,such as agricultural or zoological, by government.

  To sum up, I contend that integral performances of majors cities act a pivotal position in a nation’s cultural traditions preserving and generating, that a bundle of monetary resource should be inserted into its major cities’ operating by government. However, small cities, although not having preeminent cultural activities, should not be neglected by government at the same time. Therefore, a reason balace of governmental financial aid is a fundamentally suggestion.
