But I disagree with the speaker's reason, for a nation's traditions are preserved and generated in people's daily interaction, which is taken place everywhere, including cities and countries. Furthermore, major cities prosper and thrive on different fields, such as industry, service, technology and culture. To preserve cultural traditions is not the only reason.
