9.23 把土地给人用是不是比给濒危动物用更重要
Nowadays, more than millions of animals are on the edge of extinction for the cause of the development of human society. It definitely has a huge and negative impact on the biodiversity of the earth and the sustaining development of human beings. So, when it comes to the question that which one is more important, to give the land to human to use or to leave it to vanishing animals? For me, I will choose the latter one.

To begin with, those animals who are about to extinct exert a critical influence on the ecosystem of the earth. Because there is a food chain in the local ecosystem, it maybe results in a disaster for local ecosystem without them. For example, a research reports that in Australia the number of one kinds of rabbits increase so fast that the grass covers of the land have reduced by five percent per year. The reason is that wolves, the predator of the rabbits, have been hunted deeply by human being so that they are vanishing. Meanwhile, people just establish more farms to feed more rabbits to obtain more profits. Hence, if we do not stop and let this phenomenon continue, you can imagine how severe this damage to the local ecosystem is.

Moreover, keeping those animals can bring economic benefits to the local people because it attracts a lot of visitors’ attentions and thus boosts local tourism. For instance, as far as we all know, the Sichuang province of China is famous of the birthplace of the national cherished animal Panda. It is not surprising that a lot of travelers coming from a long distance to Sichuang province mostly want to see those cute animals by themselves. Therefore, leaving lands to animals that are on the edge of the extinction also can benefit local economy.

Finally, protecting those animals enable our children to realize that the essential relationship between human and nature. Since our planet, the earth, has been polluted a lot by human, we really should help our posterity to recognize the importance of protecting our environment. It is much easier for us to keep those animals near extinction to show the consequences of the inappropriate human activities. Therefore, we can cultivate our children to be the protectors of the harmonious relationship between human and nature.

In conclusion, given that a lot of advantages of leaving land to protect those animals that are on the edge of extinction such as rescuing the ecosystem of the earth, economic benefits for local people and improving the sense of environmental protection of our offspring, I strongly approve that it is more important to leave lands to those animals.
