As we entering information-exploding society, internet floods our life for it offers us enormous information. So some people worry about the future of printed books and predict that printed books will disappear in the next twenty years. Contrary to the opinion of many people is my heartfelt support to the idea that printed books are by no mean senseless, but enjoy priorities in many aspects.
The first plain truth, I am presenting here, is that the information involved in printed books is more systematic and accurate than that on internet. Unlike internet, which always includes too much information and most of them is (are)not well organized, printed books are classified according to its reference Thus we will not feel frustrated by dealing with too much loose and mass information contained on internet. This is especially evident in library. What students need to do is to figure out where the books are according to their categories and then find a place to bury in research. Besides, there is always some false information on internet as people do not have to shoulder the duty on what they say and what they write. However, knowledge in printed books is more reliable and trustworthy as legal responsibility they have to assume. It is conspicuous that the printed books overwhelm internet in terms of accuracy and system of information.
Convenience is another obvious strength that makes printed books desirable for students. It is common sense that printed books are portable. This means books can be taken to wherever students want to. Compared with this, internet has an interior characteristic that is the usage of internet is confined to certain places where computers are available. There is an example very persuasive. When students are taking bus to home or other destinations, they can read some printed books to past time as well as absorb knowledge. A Chinese ancient saying that one stone kills two birds indicates the incomparable function of printed books. In fact, even if e-books are easily available on internet, I still store many printed books which could fully fill in a room for reasons that they are really valuable and can meet my demands at extreme extent.
To sum up, considerable though the benefits of internet are, they cannot compete with the merits of printed books when all the factors above are taken into account. Therefore, it is not difficult for people to convince that printed books will not be substituted by any other kind of high-technology devices in the future but used at the maximum effort.
This is an era characterized by explosion information, which makes our society more complex. When it comes to the complexity of society, some people raise the question: Whether young people should develop the ability of organize and plan in order to relieve the complexity of their work and life? From my perspective, it is essential for our young generation to carefully plan our life and work in order to have higher living standard.
The first plain truth, I am presenting here, is that only through carefully plan can our tasks be completed efficiently and effectively. As mounting information overflow our society, it is more difficult for us to identify and analyze necessary and useful information from complicated world. More often than not, planning is a challenge job for majority. This is because planning includes not only the future details of work but also the risks that jobs will take. My major is business management which invites me to become a manager in an international company. Now I must make detailed plans about every step of my decision for reason that I deeply understand that corporation contains several developing stages and every stage should be matched with related strategy. Implementing our strategies according to the schedule which includes all the risks we may encounter will assist us to avoid unnecessary loss and safeguard the healthy development of the corporation. At the same time the efficiency of the work will be enhanced considerably because what we will do have been written on the paper.
Another feature of our society is that our life displays unparalleled complexity. What young people need is not only a balance between work and life but also between material rewards and mental enjoyment. The phenomenon is so complicated that the ability of planning and organizing is indispensable. For example, it is necessary for us to make a plan in the end of year about when to travel and when to deal with business in the next year. According to the schedule, we are able to live regularly and adapt to the fast-paced life. Moreover, many young people are standing at the crossroad of marriage, which would be an enjoyable thing for some people but a disaster for others. Thus a plan about when to purchase house and when to possess cars is desirable as it helps to turn marriage to be an enjoyable thing.
To sum up, it is undeniable that not all situations could be under our control even if through detailed plan. However, taking all the factors into account, people do not have to go far to understand that having plans is better than no plan, which will make your life more complicated.
