Nowadays, with the development of information-high-way and the swift speed of transportation, it becomes more easy for media to spread the news. The newspaper and the radio is not the only way for people to get information from every corner of the world. TV and internet have already become popular and convenient way for people to recieve news. Scandals, always transmited by media, have some kinds of influences which can affect the judgment of people. In my view, it’s true that scandals can attract people’s attentions in a unexpected way that speakers and reformers cannot do because they have to take the responsibilities about what they said. However, the scandals also have its negative face that it may lead people go to bad direction. Both the positive and negative aspects of scandals should be seen by us.
In the first place, what we cannot ignores the effect of the media, which exist everywhere, with its function of spreading a large range, so is the scandals which disperse through media. By the means of a special method, scandals always
attract more eyes of the world than any other ways, such as speech and collection and help people through its positive effects. Give an example is about the famous household Basketball Star---Michael Jordan. During a period of Jordan’s life, media exposed the relax time in gamble of him for not only one time and uncovered the extramarital love affair which he concealed for long to his wife. From above example, we realize that scandals have a great effect and somehow can help people to examine their behaviors in private lives.
Nevertheless, negative effects exist in the influence of scandals too. Sometimes, the vast influence of scandals may puzzle us and mislead us excessively intensify the fault but forget the contributions of the person concerned. Let me take the former president’s wife---Hillary Rodham Clinton as a example. When Hillary have claimed that she would certainly take part in the election of president of US in 2008, something negative become to appear during this time. New York Times reported that the first lover of Hillary published a article telling that Hillary got a drug addiction when she studied in Yale as a student of law. It’s similar in the election of president in 2004, when the situation of election became excited, both the Republic Party and the Democratic Party came to create scandals to attack each other in order to win more voting paper. However, whether the scandals made by them were true or untrue is unknown. Therefore, when you look at the positive face of the scandals, have you ever thought about the degree of reality and the negative aspect of scandals?
Finally, through a exact eyes to look at the scandals is also indispensable for us. As it has two sides of influence, we should think carefully and thoughtfully before we give out our attitudes, when we are affected by scandals. Otherwise, it’s impression and our wrong attitudes based on the wrong understanding of scandals may lead us to extreme conditions. For example, there are some endemic officials lived by government, sometimes receive bribery which are poor from regional people. Then, this causes some excessive people do something illegal to stop the bribery. From such a example, we understand the importance of analyzing scandals. So, considering the scandals carefully, reasoning it well, behaving yourself
are crucial for every of us so as to keep a stable balance and harmony in our society.
In summary, as I said above, to build a good society, we cannot lose sight of the two sides of scandals, and see its influence by a pair of insightful eyes. In this way,a harmonious society can be built.
