In the listening material, the lecturer thoroughly contradicts the points presented in the reading passage. Disagreeing with the statement that imported species must harm the local ecosystem and economy, the lecturer believes that imported species will bring more advantages and benefit than harm. To reinforce her theory, she responds and opposes three points in the passage.

To begin with, the reading passage puts forward that the imported species are more likely harmful to native species. On the contrary, the lecturer casts doubts on this point and contends that although a few species may be harmful to the native species,  majority of  imported species are innocent, friendly and useful.  In accordance with her perspective, she gives us an example about in certain regions, for handling the pollution some countries import some species to extinct local species.

In the second place, another crucial point in the reading passage is that imported species will destory the ecological balance. Conversely, the lecture challenging this point by stating that in general, imported species bring more benefit than damage. To substantiate this thought, the lecturer tell us some imported species increase activity of local region and benefit the native species.

Finally, the reading passage points out that  introduced species may increase economic burden in local region  , whereas the lecturer holds a totally opposite view that in fact imported species do not add burden, accurately they help local people. In order to make this view clear and convincing, she cites a true case in Africa, where has import some species, both increase the salary of local people and safe enough to manage.

In the lecture, we could clearly find that the professor totally disagree with three theories from the reading passage. To support his opposite view, he points outs flaws and unreasonable assumptions in the reading passage.

To begin with, the reading passage puts forward that birds could use sun or star to navigate. On the contrary, the lecturer  casts doubt on this point and contends that no evidence show birds could use sun or star as compasses. Not only birds could not use sun at night, but also only one species of birds has been proved could use star. Hence we do not have enough convincing evidences.

At the second place, another crucial theory from the reading passage is various landmarks could used as symbols when flying low. Conversely, the lecturer challenges this theory by stating that this theory only work when birds fly to destination more than one time. To reinforce his point, the lecturer gives us an opposite example birds could fly back home from a strange place where they had never been there.

The last but not least, the third theory pointed out in the reading passage is that sensing the earth's magnetic is another way to help bird , whereas the lecturer holds an opposite point that if this theory is true, then only birds could identify north and south, this could not make sure birds can reach the destiantion. Also the lecturer provides another example to undermine this theory, human acticity could influence the magnetic field.

To sum up, all the arguments mentioned above have proved that the lecturer completely controverts the theories from the reading passage.
