Compare the advantages and disadvantages of three of the following as media for communicating information. Statewhich your consider to be the most effective. ( Comics,
books,
radio,
television,
film,
theatre)

Today ,the media technology is developing at an unexpected speed, which contributes to the improvement of communication ways. However ,books ,radio and television are still the mainstreams, which I would like to discuss each of their pros and cons here. After serious consideration and comparison , I insist that the television is the most effective one.

Start with television first. Undoubtedly, television has the greatest owners in the world as well as it is considered to be the perfect combination of sounds and images. In majority countries, people regard it natural to open their TV to get information or have some fun. Because TV is the media form that could carry the most messages. In addition ,people like watch TV not only to get the information, but to acquire the latest news. Besides the ease ,fast and convenience, anther huge advantage is people can watch what gives them the most direct sense. Combination of hearing ,vision ,TV is obviously the most effective ways to communicating. However , the large shape and heavy quality make TV not easy to move or package. So, the most impressive disadvantage of TV is you can not watch it anytime ,anywhere.

Next , come to books. With the longest history ,books has always playing an inevitable role of people’s life. It’s easy to read and take and at the same time, it’s also worth to be kept. Usually, library is regarded as one the most valuable things because of the books it contains, which stands for a culture . In my view, the brilliant culture that books represent could not be replaced by any other forms, which is also the huge advantage of books. Thinking about its disadvantage, maybe I have to say the information it contains is not fast enough to catch up the speed at which the event happens. So, books are not the choice if people want immediate information.

Third, radio also has its pros and cons. Most essential, radio means convenience. Whenever you go ,you can bring it with you. For instance , when you travel . radio could be your best friends to kill time. You can not only use it for fun and relaxation ,but also to get the local information where you have been. Of course , radio only means sound, so it could not be as impressive and direct as TV. The information we receive from it is rather forgettable than other ways.

According to the analysis of the above three communication methods, I think the pros of TV largely over its cons . So, through final comprehensive consideration , I insist TV is the most effective media communicating method.
