12.4 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People benefit more from travelling in their own country than travelling in a foreign country.
In the present day China, tourism is becoming more and more prevailing, not only travelling domestically but also going abroad to explore exotic culture. With the dramatical appearance in China, a fiercly dispute is arousing. Some individuals believe that traveller will benefit more from tourism in their owen country than that in a foreign
country, while others oppose it. Personally speaking, I prefer to support the latter point that torists will benefit much more from travelling in a foreign country than doing domestically. First of all, travellers will acquire a large amount of knowledge of language learning by touring in foreign countries. It is no doubt that individuals will communicate with people who speak another language in foreign countries. Therefore, being a traveller, you have to speak to suvineur sellers, waiters in restauants and conductors in tranportation vessels, which means you will begin to study a new language unconciously. Additionally, in the process of talking with foreigners, you also start to aware of different social cultures inculuding ceremonial customs, communication manners and food culture. For example, pork is stringently forbidden to eat and talk about in daily life in Arabian countries where Eslan religion is solely believed. Travelling in Southern France is a valuable access to learn grape wine producing process and is also a preferable opportunity to taste all kinds of grape because Southern France is wellknown for red wine and tasty grape. All knowledage obtained in foreign countries will benefit you to comprehend alliend culture and enhance your communicative skill with foreign commercial partners. All in all, travelling in foreign countries will broaden your perspectives invoving unfamiliar subjects which may be crucial to you sometimes. Consequently, I maintain that tourism in other countries will be more advantage than that in your own country to some extent.
