The author asserts that an effective education should be specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. I agree with the assertion to the extent that education should meet the individual needs and interests. However, is education effective only when it si specifically designed for each student? This is what I doubt about.

First of all, it is essential for an effective education to meet the needs and interests of each student. Interests are the first teacher of students. Only when education pays much attention to each student' interest and organize all kinds of activities to activate students, the education is effective because students are willing to finish the education task. For example, when I was in junior middle school, my English teacher always tried all kinds of activities to encourge us to speak English. The activities he designed in his class was so successful that we usually did not want to be dismissed. At that time, our English class became the most interesting one and we got good grades in English.
It's because of the interests that students want to learn from education.

Meanwhile, although the interests and needs are important for students, it is unfeasible for educators to specifically design education to meet each student.
People may take for granted that the more specifically designed education one can get, the more effective education turns out to be. However, it is impossible for educators to design such a specific education which can meet everyone's needs and interests because there are such a large number of students. Such an education does not make full use of educational resources.

Secondly, an effective education is to educate more students who have different kinds of abilities and can meet the challenge of modern society instead of students who can merely do something which is relevant to their interests. If education only concerns the special needs and interests of each student, there will be more graduates who can only involve in a special realm instead of more qualified students.

Furthermore, schools should develop more optional courses together with the main courses to meet the needs and interests of each students. Nowadays, there is a tendency is that there are
a growing number of clubs on campus which meets the needs and interests of students. In the clubs, students can put knowledge which they learnt into practice and combine their interests and knowledge together.

In sum, education should make good use of the students' needs and interests, which will promote the effective of education. Meanwhile, We should emphasize the general education for the majority of people while meet the interests of individual.
