The lecture effectively challenges the opinion in the reading, that dinosaurs were endotherms, though three aspects.

First of all, the reading states that as dinosaurs fossils have been found in polar regions, they must have been endotherms to be active. However, the lecture indicates that on one side, in ancient times even polar regions were warm enough for dinasaurs, which may not be endotherms, to live. On the other side, dinosaurs might survive through migration from warmer areas or hibernation.

What is more, while the reading stresses that the connection between endothermy and the position and movement of the legs suggests that dinosaurs were endotherms, the speaker says, there is another interpretation for legs underneath the body. Legs can support the weight of body, contributing to the survival of the large size animals, like dinosaurs.

Finally, the reading highlights that the structure called Haversian canals and the rapid growth of body defines dinosaurs as endotherms, which totally contradicts what the lecture insists. Dinosaurs had a certain growth ring. There is evidence that they may stop or slow down the growth of body when it is cooler, and fasten again when it turns to warmer, which is against the growth of endotherms.

The lecture effectively challenges the opinion in the reading passage(I think should be added), that dinosaurs were endotherms(不确定是否可数), though three aspects.

我只能大概这样看一下,我的功力不够,不能确定你用的那些复杂句子是否都没有语病,但有些我感觉还是有些问题的。你的句式值得我学习
