When it comes to whether the human beings should take the responsibility to protect the wild animals, the author hold the point that it is not justification for the society to make extraordinary efforts to save the endangered species, for the action is money and job consuming. While I hold that the human have to protect the wild animals, not in the spiritual level but also the practical meanings.

No one can deny that the species in the world has been in the progress of extinction before human beings have the ability to impact them. Nevertheless, we have to recognize that it is the impact of the human to the environment has increased in the extinction rate dramatically. As the science and the technology development the human initiated many means to utilize the resource of this planet, not only the ore below the surface of the earth but also the biology species. At this time numerous examples come into my mind: people hunt various kinds of wild animals for delicious plates, such as deer, many kinds of bird and so forth; people hunt whale for the whale oil; people hunt fox and bears for trading the fur of them. In this concern the number of many kinds of the wild species has decreased due to the human hunting. Further more, the development of the industry, which contributed to the pollution of the wild animal habitat, imposed indirect impact on the extinction of the wild species. In the concern mentioned above the human has the responsibility to protect the wild species.

In another aspect, our human, as the most powerful specie on this planet, have the duty to sustain the biodiversity. In the philosophical level, this planet not only belongs to our human but also the various other species. Further more, each specie has its function in the ecological system, weather it is a kind of producer, consumer, or decomposer. A survey, indicates that the when one specie extinct, 10 to 30 species related to it will extinct in a short time. As the ecological system of the earth is a whole one, the human also included in it. In this logic, if the specie extinction without control for a long time, the survival of the human beings will be endangered. Additionally, the extinction of a specie means the genome of it will not exist in the world for ever. The biological technology tells us, the gene pool is also a kind of resource very important similarly to the ore and land, which would play an essential role in the further development of our nation.

If we can not save any species from extinction, it is truly a waste of money. But the fact is contrary to this assumption. The experience tells us that human beings have the ability to help many species eschew the extinction. The Big Bear in China in a case in point.

To sum up, both in the spiritual level and the practical level, human beings have the responsibility and ability to protect many species from extinction. We should recognize that protecting the wild species from extinction is also a means of welfare for our human being as we also involved in the ecological system of the planet!
