TOPIC: ISSUE50 - "In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach."

In speaker's opinion, the quality of teaching in college and university is largely depend on the real working of each discipline. Thus, improving the level of that quality, all faculty in college and university should go outside the academic activities to get more experiences relevant to their profession. No matter the conclusion come from the first assersment is right or not, the word "all" has already restrict all the possibilities might happen in the real world. Is that true? Of course, the answer is no.
First, do the experiences of the faculty are the all factors which influent the quality of instruction at college and university? Obviously, it is the opposite of the reality. We can take so much examples to account, such as the quality of students, the instructions the school had, the enviroments that all the students owns, the money allocated by the local or central government, the quality of great teachers surely, even the policies of the goverment on education. So much factors can lead to a unknowable result. It is absurd to conclude all the reasons to only the real experiences of the faculty.
Nowadays, the graduates are facing the increasing hard time when they enter to the society as a freshman. Lots of reasons cause this situation, between which, the knowlege tought at college and university are out of reality, especially have nothing to do with the paces of mordern social and  cultural changes. To this aspect, the author have seen the problems common in mordern higher education world. The realistic and sightful perspective have a long-term significance to contemporary education. It is give stress and pression to the faculty who always do research in their offices and have not noticed the rapid evolution outside the academic world, expecially the professions relevant to the courses they teach.
The author also mention that "all" the faculty must go outside to get more knowlege from the factual activities. When I read this part, I have to suspect, does the author have even taken the college education? As we all know that the different part of accircum in university are the result of social arrangement, which was improved by the thousands of years' historical social reality. As some parts of the knowlege need experiences, such as Journalism, economics, however, some other need not, such as theory of philosophy. Besides, the faculty contain some people working in the administrative places, it is not nessesary to take some other working outside universities.
To sum up, the speaker have seen the real problems confront all the presidents of college and universities, namely some parts of faculty are not so  professinal at the courses they teach, who needs more practices during their outside world works to make sure that their lessons are keep the traces of mordern realities and changes. However, it is not nessesary and realistic to asked all the members in high school to go outside their offices to contact the profession which is relevant to their research. Dealling things in different situatiions and envirnments is the top one rules at solving problems, no matter in education or in any other fields.
