As one of the famous writers ever mentions , " Children are the future of our society ." Nowadys , the whole society are concerned more and more about the health and sound growth of children . The author advocates that the destiny of society is determined by how children are socialized and we do not know how to instruct them about bringing about a better society . At the first glance , it seems to be convincing , but futher reflection make me disagree with it for the following reasons .
    For the first assertion , not only is the destiny of society determined by how children are socialized , but it is up to so many different kinds of elements . As it is explained in dictionary , the term socialization is used by sociologists , social psychologists and educationalists to refer to the process of learning one's culture and how to live within it . With the community to speed up the pace , people lives under more and more pressures . As a result, many children have no brothers and sisters .(论证不充分) On the other hand , along with the improving of living conditions , child-rearing environment nowadays is much more favorable than it in the past . Children are usually brought up in a no playmates circumstance ， and therefore , they usually lack abilities to communicate and cooperate with each other . It is harmful to their maturation and even the future of society , with no doubt . But socialization is only one influencing factor during the children's growth stage . It is even no the most important one to ultimately contribute to a better society . Values such as patriotism  , hard-working , a respect for the law and so on should be inculcated with young people .
    For the second assertion , the author claims that we have not yet learned how to raise children who know how to create a better society, but the definition of a " better society " is not very clear . In other words , I wonder if anyone can describe a better society . From the author's opinion , young people of a better society seems to have greater tolerance of different viewpionts and the other different ones , greater respect for individual rights and greater cooperation across cultural and national boundaries . What a harmonious better society as people have been greatly socializes . But as far as I can see , harmony does not mean to follow and echo others' views blindly and fail to distinguish between right and wrong . It is reached by seeking common ground while preserving differences , but not by agreement clinched without giving serious thought . Moreover, can we define a better future society just by how people are socialized ? There are some other aspects which can measure a better society , including better environment , better health food and more pure water and even the psychology is a very important defining element . In a word , a better society can not be characterlized only by how people are socialized .
    Besides , I disagree with the author for deliberately making children know how to build a better society . As the future is unknown for us , nobody can make sure that children grow up in accordance with the desired trajectory . I tend to agree that we had better not set up track for children's growth and leave them grow up free and  healthy.
    In sum , due to the above reasons , the destiny of society is not only determined by how children are socialized and we even have no idea what a better society is like . In my opinion , the first thing we can do is to make a free ，healthy environment for children to grow up .
