TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

The statement above presented the view that the school should dedign special calsses to satisfy the students so that these can make sense. Nowadays, in modern society, more and more people are emphasising the importance of individual character. Perhaps that is the reason for why there is such a statement. However, in my view, education can also be effective even if it fails to interest students.
At the every beginning, admittedly, the interst of a subject can help the students study more effectively.  Because they are fond of it, they will have a strong desire to know more knowledge and devote all themselves to the study or experiment. If a class fails to attract students' attentions, they may often skip or even could not care less about it. To the end, nothing will be remembered. For example, the politic courses for the student who likes math most is the worst one,  while the math class is his or her favoutrite in which the student may spends  great time. At the end of the semester, this student would get a much lower grade in pollitic compared with math.
However, to the contrary, it is impossible for a school to make every single student happy. As we all know, in 21st century children have varieties of interests. Even the kids from the same family at the same age may have different favourite. So there is no more moeny and teachers for school to design individual courses for each child. Can you imagine that in a college there are thousands of kinds of classes for only five hunderd students? This is a waste of resourses as well.
Finally, I think it is still necessary for a school to design classes for future development instead of satisfying. Nowadays, the technology is developing rapidly. A person will easily fall behind the pace of the world if he or she dose not master a certain skill. Therefore, the school is the best place for the teenagers to catch up the world and learn how to survive in this crazy world.
Fruthermore, what can interset students may not all good for their growing. Somthing might prevent them from choosing the right way. For instanse, recently most boys addict to computer games.  But can schools set this kind of courses? The answer is absoultely no. We know we should correct their values of the world and help them grow in a right and healthy way. So, school should set courses necessary.
Generally speaking, neither school only designs education to meet students' interests nor only set classes for the future is right decision. The most effective way is designing the necessary classes and special ones for their good interests at the same time. Perhaps, this is the exact  method to benefit both students and society.
