Yes,I agree with the title saying,today is newer and more complex than every time in the past.However,the past and history are aggregate of personal experience,collective experience,social experience and experience of human development .So,the study of past,namely,the study of experience,is too significant to us,so that
we cannot feel its being.The experience has blended into our common life,conscousness and other aspects.

Admittely,the morden society is so new and complex,it has so much things that the past times didn't exist,for example,computer,Internet,global connection,even more enviromental problems,more metal diseases and so on.The enormous of changes have happened in every aspects of our common life.In the past time,people write letters to connect with parents and friends.Now,we are using telephone,e-mail,moblie phone,we can tell our friends our opinions and our things any where and any time,just we want to do. Our ancients walk and ride horse,now,we use bike, bus,train,airplane,car,we have so many choies when we want to go some places.These comparable facts in material are tens and thousands. Meanwhile,with the development of sicence and technology,the relationships of individuals,groups,companies are more and more complex.And,more and more people of today have mental diseases,or light and or serious.In today,one country is not standalone,it has more connection with other countries,today has been a global society.In these changes,mang people may think that the past provides little guidance.But,i don't agree with this point.In the view of science and fact ,there are two functions and benefits of studying of history.

The first,history is our same origin,the power of connecting us,the basis of enhancing sense of identity in each other.Studying history has effect on enhancing the national dignity,selfconfidence,sense of belonging,sense of honor and cohesion.As a chinese, i am very honor.Because,our nation are so great, and we have long and proud history.We have the papermaking technology, four great Iinventations,art of printing and so on.Even,we have a sad,troublous term,but,just because of this,we love our country more. In additon,in the state of the devleopment and protection of country ,studying history will make us understanding our neighbour countries and the world.If we don't study history,we have not known the First and Second War,so,we also have not understood  the world pattern how established
in today.If we do not study America history,we don't understand the freedom spirit of U.S.A and separation of the three powers why and how was founded in U.S.A.

The second,the history is a mirror.The past is the future, guiding now and future.The experience of the past is significant,we only use them correctly to benefit our individuals,companies,countries.A  book ,writen by an ancient militarist Sun Zi,called 'Master Sun's Art of War',is used in Economic and West Point Military Academy.In America law system,the lawyer and judge must defend and just according previous cases.

Even yesterday also is history.The past of individuals is history,the past of groups also is history,the past of society is history.How our society is developing and how our society is newer and more complex,we still cannot get rid of the effects and guidance of history.Because, our society of today is established on the history.No history,no today.
