1st. go to the university website, find the major you are interested, find the prof you are interested, some prof will post his students' profile online then you can email them, otherwise there is no way to contact them.

2nd biology student applying for biomedical is ok, not easy for sure, but not extremely hard as well. If your background is good, you can try. Usually people say its hard to go to medicine, they mean MD program, not phd program.
