In this era of fast developing modern society,esducation is  on of the key words though the world .Education can bring brilliant future to a nation .Considering this ,many countries make great effort to improve the quality of education at all levels ,which also lead to a heated debate whether competition to get high grades seriously put limitation on the quality of studying .In my point of view ,while sometimes it does limit the quality of learning ,competition for high grades brings more benefits .

To some extent ,grade is a great judgement of the quality of learning .Almost in any country ,students have to take examinations,which usually come in the end of semester .By giving the proper  examinations ,teachers can correctly attain the real level of learning that the students are in ,which can help know what is the weak point of students which are quite important ,thus can arrage their class time to pay more attention on the parts students are not good at.Students can get the fair judgment of themselves .By looking at the grades of every course they get ,they can know what's the disadvantage and what lead to the happening of that .Through ajustment ,they can finally improve themself and master the knowledge more efficiently .We can see that most students getting admission of famous universities always attain high grades from middle school to high school,and even to the university too .Most of the great scientists who give great comtribution to the world are also excellent studentd with high scores.We can't deny that grade can reflect the quality of learing .

Competition for high grades can cause students to work harder ,thus improve the quality of learning .Every one in the world knows that proper competition  has its advantage ,stimulating people to make extra effort .As a human being ,every one has the nature to be lazy .We may lose aim without competion .Another student's high grades may incite us to work harder ,knowing that we are not worse than him .With this belief in mind ,we spend the time we would have spent playing computer games studying ,which leads to the final high scores and good mastering of knowledge .How can we see we don't improve the quality of learning .After we get high grades ,competiton will keep us work hard as before, evern harder than before ,to make sure the next high grades and even higher grades .Besides Competition will lead to more and more success of students.This spirit even has its use in the future ,when we start our job .It will encourage us to strike for better results and finally accompanies us in the whole life ,which is a great treasure of life and the important idea that education aims to impart .

Admittedly ,while pursing for high scores has many benifits ,there are some negative effects on the learing process of students ,namely limiting the quality of studying .Sometimes the standard of judgement is not proper ,especially in the art field ,which gives ome wrong information about students' learning quality .Apparently Vango wouldn't get a high score in his society but he did have a great capability to draw .In addition,too much desiration for high scores can give pressure to students ,which may inhibit the interest in studying .Students may lower down their moral standards to cheat on examinations ,which is unfair for other students and may entice other students to cheat .Besides ,craving for high score may let students neglect the aim of education ,which give rise to many students with problems using the knowledge into practise .People cannot ignore the disadvantage of competition for high grades.

In sum,competition for high scores is a good judgement of learing  can encourage people to work harder and thus better the preocess of the studying .However ,people should not neglect the negative side of pursing for high score .By balancing the advantage and disadvantage properly ,people can improve the quality of learing  a lot ,cultivating more well-educated pepople for the society.
