好久没写这等issue了,请大家帮忙看看这个文章,谢谢
Nobel Prize Chinese mainland, a representative of flourishing China
Last year after the announce of Nobel Prize, massive media outlets in China headlined the topic of Nobel prize extensively. Coupling with the fact that the Laureate of Nobel Physics, Gao Kun, an ethnic Chinese, who did his most attributions in UK, an intensive discussion among public was initiated that why China cannot educate a Nobel Laureate and whether or not we Chinese actually need this prize. Although there are plenty of controversies, we believe that, at least in some aspects, we do need this most honorable prize. We will explore the reasons to support our viewpoints in the following passages.
In the very first place, Nobel Prizes represent the world's top honors in the fields of sciences, literature and human welfare, which implying a lot from the perspectives of Laureate and our country. Obviously, the best identification for the scientist's genius, diligence and achievement of their studies and activities directly points to the Nobel Prize. The Nobel prize was critically considered and awarded to those who and only who made greatest technological and theoretical breakthrough or gave deepest human care to our society. The holders of Nobel Prize was absolutely respected as the pioneers, authorities and leaders in their field of work. Nobel prize in China can certainly prove Chinese ability to educate masters, that what Chinese most influential scientist Qian xuesen keenly asked for even just before his death. Meanwhile those Laureate will set good example for Chinese students, more of whom will be encouraged to study harder and pay more attention on global economics, peace and politics, which forming a very good social atmosphere. In addition, the identification of the laureate's attribution simultaneously will identify Chinese status and influence in those fields prized. This is another manner to upgrade the status of China in more international affairs.
What is more, the Nobel Prize can spontaneously promote the development of our country's science. On the one hand, influenced by the Nobel Prize, more elites will be attracted to devote themselves to the researches, creation, et. China will thus turn to be a booming landscape in the academy which further advances our strength of science. On the other hand, the Nobel Prize will encourage our government to launch more fund on basic research with the hope to better ameliorate the life, scientific condition of student, experts and professionals. In fact, nowadays the deficiency of fund in the Universities and institutes appears to be a big trouble delaying the research progress. Finally, the Nobel Prize can help the revolution of the infrastructure of the education system and academic environment in China. The Nobel Prize requires the spirit of creativity, aestheticism, as well as cooperation in research, even more a good academic system. However, currently Chinese education system tends to throttle students' originality and personality and Chinese academy is deficient in education of aestheticism. A Nobel Prize is possibly to encourage Chinese scholars to retrospect the drawbacks of their mode of education and researches, finally lead to much more genius ideas and more exciting discoveries.
Last but not least, a Nobel Prize will enhance the sense of national pride, and civil patriotism. The Nobel Prize is often a national achievement of decades struggles, cooperation of hundreds; therefore it will positively enhance our national cohesion, which is similar to the moment we sing the national song patriotically with the holders of Olympic Golden Prize. The stories of the laureates will be promulgated all the world and to those oversea Chinese scholars which is potential to stimulate them to return China to devote his efforts in Chinese science development. With the sound confidence of Chinese strength in Science and other fields bring about by Nobel Prize we will bravely participate in the fierce competition of a multitude of worldwide affairs, enabling our country to be in the list of powerful countries.
Admittedly, Nobel Prizes doesn't necessarily means the ultimate value of science, creation, etc. not to mention the comprehensive goal of all science, creation activities. Nobel Prize is only a means, not an end itself. We should focus on trying to find ways to benefit our society, and the Nobel Prize will surely come to Chinese mainland, even though there is still a long way to go.
To sum up, Nobel Prizes will bring our country and lives abundant benefits and we are responsible of flourishing our country and constructing a better environment for our next generation, which collectively necessitate the needs of Nobel Chinese in some regards.
